Drowning

We were on a mission on a planet with a lot of water. We were flying down to go help the village that was floating on top of the water. When the lions landed, we saw all aliens running around frantically and screaming. We rushed to find the leader and we did, he was crying. He turned to us, "Thank you for coming. Our children have been taken by the Galra and they are drowning them. Please, you need to save them." We nodded and ran to find them. We split up so we could find them faster. Lance and I ran to the forest and saw the sea.

"Keith! Up their," Lance yelled to me from the base of a hill. He started to run up and I looked to see a line of kids with weights and a few Galra soldiers. Lance was punching them while he told the kids to run. He got punched in the face while defending a kid. I saw a kid run up to me and I broke the chains. I kept doing that till I heard a scream. I all but one guard on the ground. Even Lance. He grabbed Lance and started chaining him. "Me and Lance need back up. Now!" I ran to try and save Lance. His arm chains connected to his ankle chains and had a huge cement like ball. Before I could make it, Lance was throw into the blue water.

I pushed the guard over the edge and heard the others. I saw they were helping the kids, so I did the obvious thing. I jumped into the water. When I hit, everything was black for a second. I looked around and needed to put my flashlight. I looked all around and swam farther down. "Keith! What are you doing?!?" Pidge yelled into the Mic, her face popping up on the screen. I ignored her and kept searching. "Where are you? Come on Lance." I mumbled. "Keith, what's going on? Where's Lance?" Hunk appeared on the screen next.

"SHUT UP! Lance was chained and thrown into the water and I need to save him before he drowns!" I yelled. I finally saw some blue and white armor. I used my boosters to get to him. When I made it, I tried to get the chains off by hitting it with the hilt of my sword. It broke off and I grabbed Lance, rushing to get to the surface. I could see the light through the water and swam faster. I used my booster and shot through the air. I saw the beach and the others in the distance and hurried to them.

When I set Lance down, his chest didn't move. When I did compressions, his chest didn't move. When I was yanked from him, his chest didn't move. I couldn't believe it. No. He's not dead. He's not.

I shot up out of bed, panting. I turned over and saw Lance. Asleep. Next to me. I put my hand on his chest and felt it rise and fall. I let out a sigh and layed back down. I looked at Lances sleeping face and scooted over to him. I wrapped my arms around him, letting him know I'm here. He snuggled closer to me and smiled in his sleep. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't in my life. He was something I look forward to.

I woke up the next morning and sat a the table. "Good morning everyone," Lance says as he walked in. He kissed me on the cheek and sat down in the chair next to me. "Good morning Lance. How did you sleep?" Him and hunk were engrossed in their conversation that changed quickly to what Hunk was making. I turned to Shiro. "Anything new Shiro for today?" Shiro turned over to me and smiled. "Yeah,-"

Alluras voice came on the intercom. "Paladins, to your lions! A planet is in trouble! Hurry!" We all ran to our lions and rushed out. I saw it. "Paladins. The message said that the Galra have taken the children and are drowning them!"
