The Depth of Fate ~on hiatus ~

Chapter 8

I woke up the next morning before the alarm. Cher was asleep still curled up with me. I looked around and spotted a clock on the wall. It said it was 5:30am. We didn’t have to be up for another half an hour so I curled up even more and fell back to sleep in Cher’s arms.

The alarm went off at 6am and Cher quickly switched it off. She then sat up and gently tried to wake me up. “C’mon baby girl it’s time to wake up.” I just put the pillow over my head and moaned. “C’mon sleepy head!” I ignored her so she pulled off the covers and started tickling me.

I couldn’t help but laugh and then I sat up “Fine I’ll get up!” she stopped tickling me and I lay back down again and pretended to be asleep.

“C’mon we have to pack cause we have a plane to catch!”

I pretended to snore so she decided to start singing all or nothing. That made me wake up. She stopped singing and said “The sooner you get up, the sooner we can go to Malibu which means I can sort out the adoption and become your mother!” that got me up very quickly.

“So what do I need to do?”

“Well you need to get dressed, you need to pack and we need to leave by 9am.”

“So we have 3 hours?”

“Yes I suppose we do.”

“I'm going to take a shower then I will pack.”

“Alright honey I will pack some of my things while you are in the shower then when you come out I will get in the shower and you can pack.”

“Ok. I don’t have very much to pack so it won’t take me long.”

“That’s true. Hurry up and get in the shower so I can pack!”

“I'm going!” then I walked into the bathroom. I quickly got undressed and jumped in the shower.

I turned on the water and started singing runaway.

“Nobody said it would be easy Nobody gives you guarantees 'Cause a heart can always be broken and there can be no loving without tears,” I started to dance.

I quickly dried myself and got dressed. I walked out of the bathroom and Cher was packing her stuff.
