Chapter 28

It was 7:30pm when the film finished and we decided to order pizza for our dinner. While we waited for the pizza to arrive Cher put on Burlesque.

We watched Burlesque until the pizza arrived. When it did arrive Cher brought it into us and we continued watching the film.

Burlesque finished at 9:45pm.

“Do you girls want to watch Mamma Mia because it’s 9:45pm and it won’t finish till about 11:45pm and you girls need to get up early to catch the flight?”

We pretended to discuss it because we wanted to watch Mamma Mia.

I then said to Cher “We wanna watch Mamma Mia!”

“What time do we have to get up in the morning?” Eronwy asked.

“About 3:30am so you have time to pack your stuff and it takes 45 minutes to get to LAX from here.” Cher said.

“Oh well 3 and a half hours is enough sleep for now. We can always sleep on the plane.” Erin said.

“Fair point…” I said. I then turned to Cher and said “Can you put the fucking film on now or we will still be watching it at 3:30am.”

Cher laughed. “Watch your fucking language my darling daughter. I will put the fucking film on in a fucking minute!” I laughed.

“Language mother!” We all laughed “You are supposed to set an example not encourage me.”

“I don’t give a shit! You probably are already as bad as me!”

“You’re Crazy mom!” Cher’s face lit up.

“So are you babe!” I hugged Cher.

“I love you mom!” Cher kissed my head.

“I love you to hon. I’m going to put Mamma Mia on now.” Cher then got up and put Mamma Mia on. She put the sing-along version on and we all sat watching it while singing along. Half way through the film Cher grabbed my hand and held it. I rested my head on Cher’s shoulder and we finished watching the film.

Once the film finished Cher said “It’s almost midnight! It’s time for 3 girls to go to bed! You need to be up very early to catch your flight.”

“Ok mom. I love you!” I said.

“Love you too babe. Don’t stay up too long.”
