The Depth of Fate ~on hiatus ~

Chapter 13

We had chosen our dresses. Cher picked out a beautiful black dress that was glittery for me and she chose a beautiful red dress that was almost identical to mine for herself.

"The lawyer will be here soon so we need to go back downstairs."

We were already dresses. We were both wearing jeans and a t-shirt. "Ok."

"As soon as the lawyer is finished we are both going to have to leave almost straight away. Make sure you have your iPod and make sure you’re ready to leave."

"Why do I need my iPod?"

"Because you might need it." Cher smiled.

"Why?"

"Because..." Cher was defiantly hiding something.

"What aren’t you telling me?"

"Nothing. I just thought you might need it."

"Fine." I quickly slipped the iPod into my pocket.

"C’mon lets go downstairs. The lawyer will be here any minute. Then we will be one step closer to me adopting you!"

"Yay!" I had a giant smile on my face. Cher grabbed my hand and we walked downstairs to a room which I guessed was a business room.

Cher sat me down on a chair that was on a round table. The door bell went and Cher rushed to get it. I heard Cher talking to someone and they walked into the room. The lawyer sat opposite me and Cher sat next to me holding my hand.

Cher finished signing all the papers by 1:30pm and the lawyer said that it should all become official in 2 weeks. As soon as the lawyer left we quickly grabbed our stuff and left. We took Cher's car to the studio and she drove us there. It took us about 15 minutes to drive to the studio. Once we got there we both got out of the car. Cher came round to my side of the car and grabbed my hand and walked me over to the studio. Once we were in the security locked the door. Cher then walked over to the person in charge, handed him something and whispered into his ear. I wondered what she said but I just sat down on the couch. After Cher had finished talking she came over, sat next to me and put her arm around me.

"You get to listen to some of my new songs!"

"I know!" I smiled.

"You are a very lucky girl!"

"You don't understand how lucky I feel!"

"I know babe. Alright I have to go record now so I will talk to you later." she kissed my head and stood up.
