The Depth of Fate ~on hiatus ~

Chapter 33

*The next Evening*

Me, Cher, Rob and Ellie had been to lunch with a lot of the Star Trek Cast. There were 18 cast members there. There was; Benedict Cumberbatch, Dominic Keating, Scott Bakula, Connor Trinneer, Sir Patrick Stewart, Jolene Blalock, Marina Sirtis, Linda Park, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Siddig El Fadil, Terry Farrell, Jeri Ryan, Alexander Enberg, Gates McFadden, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto. Everyone talked to Cher for a bit as she was a massive pop icon. We finished lunch at 4pm which gave us 3 hours to get ready to meet my new assistant Jack Medford. I was nervous as I never had an assistant before. It was 5pm and I was sat on my bed in my dressing gown when Cher came in.

“Everything alright?” Cher asked.

“What am I supposed to wear?”

“Well something nice. Do you want me to do your hair and makeup?”

“Sure. Thank you mommy.”

“You are very welcome sweetheart. I will be in my room. Just come in when you are ready because both Rob and I are dressed already.”

“Ok I will be in as soon as I am dressed.

“Alright.” Cher kissed my head “See you in a few minutes.” And with that Cher walked out of my room leaving me sat on my bed. I decided to get up from my bed and pick out my clothes. I chose a thigh length strapless red dress that looked really sexy, a pair of high heels, my locket that Cher bought me, a pair of long dangly earrings and a few silver bracelets. I quickly changed into my dress and I put everything apart from my earrings and shoes on. I put my dressing gown back on then went into Cher’s room where I found Cher on her bed with Rob on top of her kissing her.

“Mother! I thought you were getting ready!” Cher pushed Rob off of her while laughing then she sat up.

“I WAS getting ready until Robert started tickling me. Then he pushed me on the bed and started kissing me. Once he starts kissing me he knows I have to kiss back.” Both Rob and I laughed.

“Can you please do my hair and makeup as it is 5:30pm and we have an hour before we HAVE to leave?” I asked.

“Sure babe. What color is ur dress?”

“Red.”

“Hmmmm…Ok I know what I'm going to do. Rob honey can you watch how I curl Em’s hair then continue doing it while I do her make up.”

“Sure babe.” Cher showed Rob how to curl my hair then he continued while Cher did my makeup. It took them 45 minutes together to do my hair and makeup. I left Cher to put her makeup on quickly and Rob went downstairs. I went to my room and put my earrings in and my shoes on. I then took a picture of my outfit and posted it on twitter with the caption ‘Going out to dinner, Mom hasn’t seen my outfit yet, I wonder what she would say.’

About a minute later Cher replied ‘@Emilylovescher ur mother would say stop taking selfies and get ur fking ass downstairs bc we r late! Btw u look Beautiful xxx’. I laughed to myself then put my phone in my pocket and I walked downstairs where Cher and Rob were waiting.

“You know if we were normal parents we would be telling you to go change.” Cher said laughing as I walked down the stairs.

“Mom you wear the same sort of stuff in public…Correction you wear less than this in public! And I know you aren’t normal! You are crazy!”

“I am not denying that.” We all laughed.

“C'mon girls time to get going or we will be really late.” Rob said taking Cher’s hand. We all walked out to the limo together and we went to the restaurant where we were meeting jack. We sat down and waited. Jack called Cher when he arrived and Cher went outside and greeted him. I sat talking to Rob until Cher came back in but I didn’t see them until Cher spoke.

“Emily I would like you to meet Jack Medford.” I stood up and turned around. My eyes immediately locked into Jack’s and the whole world seemed to disappear. My heart melted. It was love at first sight. Both Jack and I stood speechless and motionless until Cher tapped my shoulder which knocked me out of my trance.

I shook Jack’s hand and said “Uhhh…Hi Jack…It’s…Uhhh…Nice to meet you.”

Jack kissed my cheek and I blushed a lot. “It’s great to meet you.”

We sat down and we all talked and got to know a bit more about Jack such as his birthday is a week before mine…the 16th February. When he said that me and Cher both looked at each other because that was Sonny’s birthday. But of course Jack already knew that which made me fall in love with him even more.

After a while of talking and after we ate our starter me and Cher both went to the toilets just so we could talk.

“So what do you think of Jack?” Cher asked me.

“Mom you know you always said when you first met sonny it was like when Maria saw Tony at the dance?”

“Yes?”

“Well…That’s how I feel about Jack.” Cher smiled.

“Awwwwwww love at first sight!” Cher hugged me. “And by the looks of it Jack is the same.”

“How do you know?”

“I know when a guy likes a girl. Anyway we should go back in but try to keep flirting at a minimum!”

“Huh? What? I wasn’t flirting!”

“Oh yes you were! But then  again so was Jack.”

“I didn’t notice that!”

“That is because you have your head in the clouds and you have fallen in love. Anyway lets go back in.” Cher took my hand and we walked back into the boys. We continued to talk and eat till about 11pm when we all decided it was time to go home to bed.
