The Depth of Fate ~on hiatus ~

Chapter 12

Cher came back up after 10 minutes, carrying several cans of drink.

“The pizza will be here in about 20 minutes so we can start the next episode, here is a drink. I have a few more for later.” She handed me a can of Dr Pepper.

“You really do like Dr Pepper don’t you?”

“Yeah it’s my favorite! C’mon let’s watch.” So we started watching the DVD’s again and Cher started looking over the adoption papers.

About 15 minutes after we settled down the pizza arrived. Cher went down and got the pizza and brought it back up to her room. While we ate the pizzas we began talking about my birthday.

“It’s your birthday in 3 weeks. Your sweet 16th!”

“Yeah it is.” In my head I was going ‘OMC Cher knows when my birthday is!”

“I was wondering what you wanted.”

“Nothing! You adopting me is enough!”

“What do you want?!?!”

“Nothing!!”

“I’m getting you something and that’s that! I just wanna know what you want so I know if it’s the right thing to get you.”

“Fine! Give me some time to think about it.”

“Ok good! It’s 7pm and I have to be at the studio in an hour and I have to get ready. Babe are you sure you don’t want me to phone Gee or mom to come over and look after you?”

“I’m sure. I’m going to go into my room and watch more episodes of the Sonny and Cher comedy hour.”

“I should only be gone about 2 hours then I will come back and we can watch some more together.”

“Ok sounds good. I’m going to take the DVD’s into my room and watch them by myself.”

“Alright babe I will tell you just before I leave.”

“Ok talk to you in a bit.” I then took the DVD’s, walked into my room, I put the DVD on and I climbed into bed.

It was 8pm and Cher walked into my bedroom and sat on my bed.

“Babe I have to go to the studio now and guess what?”

“You’re late.”

“I’m always late getting to the studio! Ok I have to go now or I will start having phone calls chasing me up cause I’m supposed to be there now. Hopefully they will understand when I tell them the situation.”
