The Depth of Fate ~on hiatus ~

Chapter 30

 I got out of the shower at 8:00 am and i got dressed.  I sat on my bed and played on my phone. After a few minutes Cher came into my bedroom carrying 2 Dr Peppers. I put my phone down. Cher sat down beside me and handed me one of the cans.

"I need to talk to you..." Cher said.

"I know..." I sighed.

"You said yesterday that you have been hiding something from me."

"I was just about to come to talk to you but I am scared to say anything and I don't know how to say it."

"I'm worried about you!" Cher grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"I have never told anyone this ever because I was so scared but..." tears filled my eyes "my dad didnt commit suicide... my mom..." I burst into tears. Cher hugged me "she...knife...killed..." that is all i could get out. Tears were flooding down my face. Cher just sat and comforted me. She had a few tears fall but she didn't let me see.

Cher just said "It's ok, everything s going to be alright. I promise she is out of your life now. Yo dont need t worry now."

It took me quite a while to calm down but when i did i felt better because i didnt need to kee the secret anymore from cher.

"Thank you for telling me the truth baby girl. I have been really worried about you!" Cher said hugging me.

"You don't need to."

"Yeah but mothers worry about their daughters and I worry about you more than anything!"

"Awwwwww." I hugged cher and she kissed my head. "So what are we going to do today?"

"Well we don't need to go to the studio for a few days, Rob is a work and I haven't planned anything so I was thinking w have a girls night in. Movies, nails, makeup, chinese food, no boys allowed..."

"Sounds fun!!"

"What film do you want to watch first?"

" well there is a film I have always wanted to watch but I have never had the chance.."

 "well It is West Side Story."

Cher's jaw dropped " well we have to change that." Cher then jumped up and ran out of my bedroom. A few minutes later she came back in carrying a huge bag of nail varnishes and a bag full of candy and dr pepper.

"Ok so it's about 8:30am. West side story is about 2 and a half hours long so it should finish at about 11am as long as we don't have any breaks. I have lots of candy and drinks because i always have a secret stash for occations like this. Not even rob knows where my secret stuff is because i wont tell him."

"You aren't supposed to keep things from your fiancee."

"He know's I have it he just hasnt figured out where it is yet."

"What is in your secret stuff?"

"Do you want me to show you?"

"Sure!"

"Cmon then." Cher then grabbed my hand and pulled me into her bedroom. She sat me on her bed. "Stay here a second while i go sort out a few things that a daughter shouldn't see in her mom's stuff..."

"Ok." I knew what she had to take out of her stuff and she knew i knew. Cher went into her closet. A few minutes later Cher called me in.

"You can come in now." I then got up from Cher's bed and went into her closet where i found cher sat on the floor around a small cupboard in the floor. "Come and sit down and have a look." I sat down next to cher. In the hole i saw pictures, 2 small boxes and more. Cher picked up the 2 small boxes and handed me one of them. I opened the box. It was a ring.

"That ring is a 20 karat ring sapphire and diamond ring. Son gave it to me the day before my 20th birthday. I wore it all the time."

"It's a beautiful ring." I put the ring down and cher passed me the other box which i opened. It was two rings. One was inscribed sonny and the other one was inscribed cher. They were sonny and her wedding rings.

"These are the..." Cher started to say.

"I know what they are." I put the rings down.

"How?"

"You are talking to a girl who has idolised you, who has loved you since...well forever."

"Awwwww." Cher hugged me. Cher then picked up the photos and showed them to me, talking through each of the photos as i looked at them. There were photos from when cher was a baby to teenage years to sonny to chaz to the sonny and cher show, to david geffen, to gregg allman, to elijah, to pictures on movie sets, to rob and more. Also in her secret place she had a copy of the west side story LP and the DVD. There were also a few small bits as well.
