Imagine: You're held captive by Miraz during the battle, and you're Edmund's girlfriend so he can't focus without you. So Peter tries to get you back so Ed can focus.

You, being Edmund's girlfriend, had been taken by Miraz to distract Edmund from his swordsmanship. One of Miraz's soldiers held you as Miraz went to greet Peter and Edmund in the middle of the battlefield. You made eye contact with Edmund and your breathing slowed yet the tears didn't stop as the soldier's grip around your neck tightened.
"Gentlemen." Miraz smirked.
He was greeted with silence, to which there was no noise, except for me tears. I was sobbing by now. Being so close yet so far from Edmund hurt me.
"Miraz-" Edmund began.
"Let her go now Miraz. And we can work this out like men." Peter said, cutting Edmund off.
I could tell Edmund was surprised Peter had said something. I was surprised too. Miraz looked a bit shocked too but looked at the soldier holding me.
"Very well. Let the girl go." Miraz said.
The soldier grumbled and dropped me violently. I gasped and then ran to Edmund who received me in an embrace. I thanked Peter quietly and he nodded.
