**i had to use this gif, it's so funny 😭
Caspian and I were an odd case. We'd known each other for years and yet we had never even given one another the time of day. After a quick, passionate kiss in the hallway behind his castle's kitchens, we were completely infatuated with one another.
We couldn't help but find excuses to be close to one another and spend time together. As our passionate rendezvous turned into meaningful encounters and moments, we began to formally start seeing one another. I'm not sure when we planned on telling everyone else we were in a relationship, but we'd decided we wouldn't be telling them anytime soon.
The Pevensies were good friends of ours and we'd all been on a trip together to discuss trade with a neighboring country in the summer. At that point, Caspian and I had been dating for about four months and not a single person knew. At least that's what I had thought.
Apparently one day Caspian, Peter, and Edmund went into the woods for a morning hunt while Susan, Lucy, and I were still asleep. Susan, Lucy, and I had planned to have a quiet morning in the castle, maybe have breakfast then go for a quiet walk along the Cair Paravel beach and possibly go for a swim, something Lucy particularly enjoyed.
While they were out in the woods, there was a lull in their hunting and everything around them was incredibly quiet and still. So Edmund began to strike a conversation to keep the three of them engaged and alert as they walked.
"What do you think of (y/n)?" Edmund asked.
"She's a fine young woman," Caspian replied quickly, "very handsome of face and of character."
"She'll no doubt be courted soon," Peter smiled.
"By whom is the question," Edmund continued.
"I'd be happy to court her if she'd let me," Peter smiled, "She'd make a perfect High Queen of Narnia."
"You're about 1200 years too old for her," Caspian scoffed.
"Geez Cas, what's your deal?" Peter crossed his arms, "You aren't necessarily interested in her so much as speaking with her to begin with. So forgive me if I want to do a little more than just talk to her."
"I bet she'd be good if you-" Edmund began.
"Don't talk about my girlfriend like that!" Caspian burst.
"I KNEW IT!" Edmund smacked Peter's arm and Peter's jaw dropped open.
"You and (y/n)? No way...no way!" Peter said, in shock.
"I-" Caspian began, shocked by how easily it had flown off of his tongue.
"You said I was crazy! Who's crazy now?" Edmund laughed.
"God..." Caspian sighed, "You CANNOT let (y/n) know that you know. She's gonna be mad."
"How long has this been going on?" Peter asked.
"Four months," Caspian smiled sheepishly.
"FOUR MONTHS?" Edmund and Peter exclaimed at the same time.
"Calm down," Caspian smiled.
"FOUR GODDAMN MONTHS AND YOU"RE JUST NOW SAYING SOMETHING?" Peter exclaimed.
"Don't be mad that I beat you to it," Caspian smirked.
"How'd it happen?" Edmund asked.
"One day behind the kitchens of my castle, we kissed and we just could resist one another after that," Caspian replied.
"That's kinda romantic," Peter acknowledged.
"And you just kissed her? Out of nowhere?" Edmund raised an eyebrow.
"Well, no," Caspian admitted, "she got bumped into by one of my servants as she fell right into my arms and we looked at each other for a long while and then I brushed a piece of her hair out of her eyes. We started leaning in and, well, we couldn't have stopped it even if we wanted to."
"Do you think you two will be wed?" Peter asked.
"It's only been four months, Peter," Caspian replied.
"But you have thought of it, have you not?" Edmund asked.
"Of course I have," Caspian replied.
"And?" Edmund asked.
"I think it's...well--" Before Caspian could answer, there came a rustling in the bushes, causing all of the boys to quiet themselves and return their focus to the now engaging hunt.
But what Caspian had wanted to say and never got to say was, yes, he did have the intention of marrying you. And, in the end, that's exactly what he would do.
