It was finally Autumn in Narnia, and Edmund was busy handling all kinds of kingly duties. Ever since he and his wife, (y/n), had been crowned High King and High Queen of Narnia, upon the departure of the other Pevensie children, things had been insane. But also simply wonderful. With the craziness, came a child, a son. (y/n) and Edmund had a son three years ago, whom they named Peter, after Edmund's eldest brother.
Life had been the happiest it had ever been, and with (y/n) being pregnant with a second child, things looked even brighter. However, Edmund still ruled a kingdom and was gone frequently, most times with his wife. But now that she was once again pregnant, she couldn't adventure with him.
So Edmund brought Peter Pevensie II on his most recent expedition. Although (y/n) did not see it fit for the young boy to adventure with his Father yet, she saw it as an opportunity for them to spend time together. So she let them go.
The expedition that the boys were going on was a simple day trip to the forest. It wasn't really an expedition at all, just a fun Father-Son outing. However, Edmund still had to ensure populations in the forest were at a good measurement. So Edmund simply charted the safest part of the forest, where the flowers flew around the air and the nymphs would laugh and run around as though still children.
When Peter wanted to go exploring his Father simply told him not to go too far, trusting that his son would be okay. But, when Edmund finally finished his work, his son was gone. He immediately panicked, knowing his wife would kill him if she found out.
"Peter! Pete! Son! Where are you!" He called.
No reply.
Edmund sat down a stone immediately. He began to cry a little. "He was just a boy...I never should've left him..." He said.
"DADDY!" The boy laughed and ran to his Father, "I found you!"
"Oh son, you can't go far like that." Edmund laughed, picking up his son and putting him on his lap.
"But I didn't Daddy!" He giggled.
Edmund sighed looking at his son. He looked just like his mother with perfect (y/h/c) hair and deep (y/e/c) eyes. He couldn't be upset with his son for anything, just as he couldn't be upset with his wife.
"Just don't tell Mommy." Edmund smiled and stood up, giggling with his son.
