Imagine: You form a romeo/juliet relationship with the rebellious King Edmund of Narnia after his sister, Susan engages in a feud with her ex-boyfriend, your brother.

I had always worried about the security of the kingdom, but never like this. My brother had just broken an engagement to his fiancée, Queen Susan of Narnia, causing large outbursts of anger all around the courts of Narnia. Of course, our family was the one to be attacked.
Rumors of my brother's "treachery" and "scandal" spread across our entire kingdom. The best story being that he'd cheated on Susan and wanted to cover it up with a breakup. He wouldn't deny the claims, but I knew better than to believe petty gossip.
"I swear I didn't cheat!" He would tell my fatally ill mother.
"Then why call it off?" She would cough from bed.
"With you being unwell, we haven't the money for a wedding." He sighed.
He wasn't wrong, Mother needed medicine, and medicine wasn't free. But money should not have prohibited his marriage. I was skeptical, but knew he wouldn't lie to our Mother, at least he never had before.
It was merely hours after this that the Pevensies called to have a marvelous masquerade ball at their palace in Cair Paravel. My brother refused to go, and considering his current situation I didn't blame him. I, however, would still attend. But I could not go as my recognizable self, Susan would know my (y/e/c) eyes and (y/h/c) locks anywhere.
So I went in a divine (any color you wish) mask. To complete the look, I wore a wonderfully large skirted dress of the same color.
Upon walking into the palace, I felt as though my feet were not on the ground. It was as though I was walking through a glass of sparkling champagne. All the members of the courts were there, chatting and drinking far too abundantly.
I smiled and walked towards a table where I saw some of the other members of my kingdom's court, hardly recognizable under the golden lighting.
"How's he holding up?" A duchess named Lillian asked.
"He's fine. Worried about my Mum as always." I replied as a Duke whose name I frequently forgot handed me a glass of champagne.
"Well the gossip has been ridiculous as you know Princess (Y/N)." The Duke said.
"Oh yes. Nothing gets pushed out by those palace walls." I muttered.
I went to take a sip of my champagne but was rudely interrupted by the yank of my upper arm. My champagne glass cluttered to my feet, spraying liquid onto another woman's gown. I looked up at the person who'd grabbed me.
My ex, Harry, Prince of Eurocityisles. I looked at him, slightly frightened. Before my brother and Susan had been the it couple, it was always Harry and I. But we became toxic and I let him go. It hurt me far longer than it hurt him, though he never realized it.
"Hi beautiful." He grinned.
"Harry, get away." I said, pushing him off of me.
"Don't play that with me, baby." He laughed.
People were starting to look. My cheeks deepened to a sharp shade of red.
"Harry, not here. You're terribly drunk. Go home." I sighed.
"But honey bunch..." he groaned.
"Pardon me Sir, but please don't bother this young woman any further." A voice came from behind me. Dark, Tall, Sweet.
I turned around and saw a boy with ebony colored hair and impeccable pale skin. His eyes were as soft as the stars on a summer evening, and his cheeks were white as the moon itself.
He nodded at Harry then grabbed my gloved hand and directed me to a secluded garden area. I turned and got a good look at him again. He smiled, looking at me for a moment.
"Are you alright?" He asked, "He seemed crazy."
"I'm fine. He really insane." I laughed, the blush beginning. Silence rang for a moment.
"Have we met?" I asked.
"I don't believe so. I would've remembered someone so beautiful." He smiled. I tucked a strand of loose hair behind my ear.
"Where are you from then?" He asked.
"If I told you, you'd probably not like me anymore." I smiled, walking towards the fountain, the moonlight illuminating my skin.
"Impossible, Princess." He smiled.
"I come from Archenland." I answered.
"It's lovely this time of year. Almost as lovely as you are." He touched my hand and I turned to him, inches from him.
"Are you always this charming?" I asked.
He chuckled and placed a hand on my cheek. I leaned in, smiling a little bit.
"May I?" He asked, almost touching my lips.
I hummed a reply and his lips touched mine softly. We stood there for what seemed an eternity, hearing the distant sound of an orchestra playing a romantic sonnet.
The bell in the tower rang out and I pulled away.
"I have to go." I whispered.
"Wait," He whispered and I stopped, "meet me under the Oak Tree beside the river of New Beginning tomorrow at midnight."
"Okay." I smiled and ran off.
Midnight came the next day, and we met again under the oak tree. But this time, we knew who each other was.
"Edmund?" I asked.
"(Y/N)!" He smiled and picked me up in a full spin, "how did I never see you for the angel you were before?"
"They'd kill us if they knew." I giggled and touched my nose to his.
"They don't need to know a thing." Edmund smiled and kissed my lips in a sneaky second. "Say the words and I'm yours."
"I love you." I smiled immediately, and he grinned.
"I love you too." He grinned and put me down, holding me closer.
The months following our newfound romance would be interesting. Quick passes in hallways on unexpected visits and court meetings. Letters written with deepest affections. Meetings under trees and secret nights spend together in secret. Our love would only blossom. Romeo and Juliet had nothing on us.
