Imagine: you and Edmund have a baby girl, but he wasn't in Narnia when you gave birth.

You had screamed at first, but once you saw her, you cried. She had Edmund's large, green eyes, and your skin tone. The doctors handed her to you once they had cleaned her off and you held her tightly, the tears streaming from your eyes.

"Hello..." You whispered. She smiled at you and you couldn't help but smile back.

Had your husband been there, you probably would have handed her to him. But he wasn't there. It would be a few more days before he was home from another one of his ventures. In the meantime, you had his sisters, Susan and Lucy, helping you.

"Where should the cradle go?" Lucy asked.

"Over there." You directed her, "Thank you for helping me, both of you."

"(y/n), it is the least we can do. You've just pushed a child out of your-" Lucy began but Susan shot her a look implying that she stop. Yet, you laughed regardless.

"We would do anything to help you, (y/n), you know that." Susan smiled softly at me.

It was evening almost a week after your daughter had been born when Susan came to your room where your daughter's cradle sat. She smiled knowingly at you.

"I just came to say goodnight." She said.

"Goodnight, Susan." I smiled.

"I'm sure he'll be home soon." She whispered, hugging me. I nodded and soon she was gone.

"Hello, baby." You smiled, going to the edge of your daughter's cradle. You picked her up and held her in your arms.

You walked to the balcony and watch the evening deepen slowly. Your daughter was almost asleep when you heard the door to your bedroom open. You turned around and saw Edmund standing in the doorway.

"(y/n)..." He ran to you and when he saw the baby in your arms, he stopped inches from you.

"You...you had her while I was g-gone?" He asked, tears coming to his eyes and a smile coming to his face. You nodded.

"Do you want to hold her?" You asked.

"Yes..." You handed him the baby and he smiled.

"She's beautiful." He cried and kissed her forehead, "Did you name her?"

"Yes." You smiled.

"What is her name?" He asked, sniffling softly, which only made you smile more.

"(y/d/n)*." You grinned.

"(y/d/n)..." He smiled, "I love it. And (y/n), I promise to never be away from you again. I want this family and I want you. I don't care what becomes of me no longer going out."

"Ed-" Before you could answer fully, his lips were on yours, and all you could think about was how much you loved him.
