Alfea
James was enjoying a good cup of tea on the balcony of his shared dorm room with Bloom and Flora. Soon however, Flora left to show Helia her new greenhouse and so it was just the siblings now.
"You're still drinking that awful tea?" asked Bloom.
"Awful? I admit it has this peculiar scent but it actually does help calm my nerves" said James.
"I think my senses have been dialed to eleven" said Bloom.
Suddenly James got called from below by some of the new first year students, they wanted to meet him.
"Well, off I go then" said James.
"Take care, they might call you pops" said Bloom with a smirk.
"Haha, very funny" said James with a snicker before he jumped off the balcony and landed below.
A few minutes had passed and James was busy telling stories to the new fairies about his experience with their seniors.
"I bet the alumni were really cool, Daphne included" said a fairy.
"For sure and James ought to know. He's the first warrior to have ever gained a fairy's trust" said another fairy.
"Well I......wouldn't call myself the first, maybe there were others......so I think I'm rather the first person in over a thousand years to have ever spoken with a fairy. But I still remember my first sighting of a fairy" said James.
"Really? Could you please tell us?" asked another fairy.
"I was about 2 years old at the time and as I looked out the window, I saw fairies flying by with such precision and grace. I saw it during my travels through time, you fairies were the latest thing and the competition was right to be worried! Ah, I remember witnessing fairies replacing the witches as the main force against evil back then during the dark ages. You all even replaced me and many others alike, that's why you were our commanders and why so many people trusted you. Its also why I don't work as much anymore, you newer fairies are all so fast and strong, oh I can't compete with any of you at all anymore. I'm getting old" said James.
"Did you ever see the company of light being formed?" asked a fairy.
"Ha, no my young friend. I may be old but I'm not that old! And before you ask, I never saw dinosaurs either" said James as he laughed with the fairies.
"Would you care to race James? I bet I can beat you old man, I am the newest" said a fairy as she transformed.
"Oh ho, watch yourself young lassie. This old model can still race circles around you, I'll show you the racing level from my day!" said James as he stood up.
Bloom watched from a distance as James and the fairy began their little race. She was quite amused at it but it didn't last long. She soon saw Flora and Musa walking along the courtyard and Flora looked sad.
"I don't know what came over me Musa, I totally just snapped at Helia" said Flora.
"Oh man, I know what that's like.......trust me" said Musa.
"I just........I made him feel like he let me down which isn't even true!" said Flora.
"Hm, well then...tell him that. Take it from me Flora, guys like Helia are one in a million" said Musa.
"I know, thanks for reminding me Musa" said Flora.
Bloom didn't know what was going on since she couldn't hear them due to their distances but she hoped that things would be resolved soon. She then saw the new fairy cheering because she had won against James.
