Chapter 11: Tensions

Dorm room

"You've worked hard James, I'm sure you're even stronger now thanks to headmistress Faragonda" said Bloom as she sat next to him on his bed.

"Thanks...........say Bloom, can I ask you something?" asked James.

"Sure, what is it?" asked Bloom.

"If I were to try to regain all of my memories, would you be alright with that? Or do you want me to stay as I am now?" asked James.

Bloom soon took James's hands and looked at him in the eye.

"Honestly.......maybe it would be for the best, maybe......its my inner self that misses you entirely but even if you don't.........you're here........you came back to me and that's all I want" said Bloom.

"Ok Bloom, thanks...........but I'm still trying" said James as he soon hugged his sister.

Bloom hugged back and she just smiled. Daphne was here, James was here, everyone was here. She wanted this to remain forever.

Suddenly she soon realized something, James had already fallen asleep on her chest. Giggling at this, Bloom gently rubbed his head while also gently prying him off of her. She soon laid him down and covered him with the blanket.

She also kissed him on the forehead and she could see the smile on his face after pulling back. Flora soon came in and she just smiled. She could see James sleeping peacefully and she just smiled at Bloom.

"You really care for him a lot" said Flora.

"I do, I just want him to know that I really care for him.......love him like any sister would" said Bloom.

"I think he already does, that's why he's doing this for you..........even though he isn't ready yet" said Flora.

".......Thanks Flora" said Bloom.

After looking at James one last time, Bloom soon went to bed and fell asleep. Of course since James was in between the beds of both Bloom and Flora, Bloom would occasionally peek at him during the night.

Next day

James yelled as he once again got thrown aside by Nex during a practice match, he was panting and really bruised all over.

He and the other guys were in Aisha's gym and they were observing the fight. They watched the fight from start to finish and they acknowledged Nex's victory.

"Is this seriously it? At this rate, you'll just be a figurehead. Not an actual prince" said Nex.

"Alright Nex, that's enough. Leave him be" said Sky.

"Just kick him off the team already won't you Sky? He is not one of us" said Nex as he walked past Sky.

Shaking his head, Sky just ordered everyone to take a break. After everyone left, James just sat on the floor. Nex's words rang a bell in James's head but he just couldn't figure out what it meant.

"........Does this mean I really have to follow the path of a fairy?" wondered James.

Soon Bloom came into the gym and she could see that James was depressed.

"Hey James, something wrong?" asked Bloom as she walked up to him.

"...........Maybe I should just stop this kind of training, I'm terrible at it. Maybe I should just focus on being a fairy and switch genders for good" said James.

"That's the first time I've ever heard you say that, not that I wouldn't mind but don't throw away your original persona. I'll miss it" said Bloom.
