Chapter 32: James's secret

City

James was currently in a local cafe, doing his best to blend in with the other people. He didn't need to worry about the Magix council because Alfea had already warned them of a possible attack from Cloud tower.

He knew that if the city were to be attacked, the government will take actions. Still however, he was slightly more worried about his sister and her friends. It wasn't long until he made a phone call to Bloom because he was just that worried.

"Hey Bloom, just wanted to check up on you over at Alfea" said James.

"Hehe, that's sweet of you. Anyways, we've just finished setting up our band. We're about ready to perform" said Bloom.

"That's good, how's Musa by the way?" asked James.

"She's doing better but of course, she's still a little upset at the fact that she can't use her powers anymore. But she's still able to contribute and direct all of us. I think this is going to work, we will be able to protect Alfea" said Bloom.

"I see, then it's good work to all of you. keep me updated whenever you can" said James.

"Will do, just be careful on your end too. Love you" said Bloom before she hung up.

Smiling at the love you part, James soon put his phone away and just stared at the people around him who were minding their own businesses. Unaware of the fight that was able to take place.

Some of the local girls giggled and waved when they saw him. Years ago, James would have thought that this would be impossible. Just goes to show how much of an influence the universe can impact you, if you choose to make the effort that is.

Taking a walk down the road after paying for his coffee, James could see the amount of security that the Magix council had deployed in order to protect the people. In case anything goes wrong, he would be the last defense.

Then suddenly, James could sense lots of dark energy signatures moving past him and they were right above him in the sky. Taking no chances, James immediately called Bloom.

"Bloom, you there?" asked James.

"Yeah, is everything ok? You sound a little panicked" said Bloom.

"I've just sensed multiple dark signatures directly above me and they were moving at a high speed towards your location. I think they're here, the witches are ready to attack" said James.

"Ok, got it! We're also ready to perform!" said Bloom.

"Don't hesitate to transform if things get messy, good luck!" said James before he hung up.

Carefully eyeing the skies, James could see just one tiny bolt of purple lightning in the distance.

"Gotcha........" whispered James as he soon ran towards the location.

Far from the city and far from Alfea and Red fountain, James was in a wide open area. Looking up, James knew that somewhere above him was the invisible Cloud tower. He was just praying that he was right.

"Can't fly..........that'd be too obvious and the winx aren't with me, alright then. Gonna have to jump" said James.

And jump James did, jumping high into the air, James gritted his teeth as he passed through the invisible stormy clouds that kept Cloud tower in the air.

Grabbing onto something, James was now gripping and hanging by the very edge of the invisible building and he was dangerously close to the storm clouds as well.

"Those clouds stung me.....not hurt, that's a difference. Still, too many of those would be the same as getting stung by bees for me. Let's try and avoid that shall we?" said James as he began climbing the invisible building.
