Shoji Mezo.

Cool, reliable, smart and somewhat reserved.

You had known Shoji since middle school, but it wasn't until you both joined U.A. that you really got to be around the stoic teen. You didn't even really know if you two were friends. He hardly ever spoke around you, and when he did it was always just a sentence or two. Unfortunately for you, you had the biggest crush on the guy since Romeo and Juliet. He was handsome and strong, and hella tall (you often daydreaming about how this attribute could play out romantically). Honestly though, you just wished you could hear that wonderfully spine-tingling deep voice more often.

You poked at the mushy-looking artichokes on your tray and sneered. Why the hell do they serve these disgusting abominations?

"C'mon (l/name). If you don't eat up you won't become as strong as me~" the red-headed Kirishima sang from across the table.

You rolled your eyes and stuck your tongue out at him, to which he laughed. You sighed and reached for your milk when you suddenly noticed a tray beside you that wasn't there just a couple moments ago.

Kirishima grinned, "Oh, hey Shoji! Been awhile since I've had lunch with you."

Your heart panicked as the massive teen sat in the seat next to you, your head spinning faster than a top.

Shoji nodded to Kirishima, "Just wanted a change of scenery," he turned to you with his usual cool expression, "Hey, (l/name)."

Your face flushed at the sound of your name leaving his lips. "Hi..." you muttered and quickly darted your eyes, nervously stabbing into your carrots.

The rest of lunch was pretty awkward (for you anyway). Kirishima was involved in a long-winded conversation with Denki, leaving you and Shoji practically by yourselves. You wanted to say something, but your stupid nerves wouldn't allow you, so you just miserably sat there chewing on your rice.

"You don't like artichokes."

It took you a moment before you realized that it was Shoji who had just spoken. You looked up at him and parted your lips as if to speak, but nothing came out, so you pursed your lips and just shook your head.

Shoji gave a quiet sigh, "Me either..."

"Alright, class," Aizawa sighed and rested his hand on his hip, "We're going to be doing rescue today...without the villains, dramatic fights and emotional baggage."

The students chuckled, but Aizawa didn't seem amused in the slightest.

He gestured to his left and right, pointing to Thirteen and All Might, "There will be three groups divided amongst us: groups A, B, and C," Aizawa pulled out a sheet of paper, "I'll assign the groups now. I better not hear any whining or complaining either," he cleared his throat, "starting off with group A..."

~

You had been placed in group B, Aizawa's group, which consisted of you, Mineta, Kirishima, Ashida, and Shoji. Your heart paced in your chest as you walked behind the tall boy, shamelessly admiring the way his hero uniform accentuated his toned body while his strong arms exposed for the world to see. What luck he would be put on the same team as you.

"Aw man. This is so exciting!" Kirishima grinned as he looked back at you and Ashida.

"I know," Ashida giggled giddily, "I can't wait to get some rescue training under my belt!"

Aizawa finally halted in front of a huge dome and turned to face your group, "This is the earthquake zone. There are many damaged buildings that are currently housing trapped civilians. These building are extremely unstable and dangerous so I highly advise actually being vigilant," he said towards Mineta who sweat under Aizawa's glare.
