"Aw man! It's raining!"
"What? Really?"
The sudden commotion from the lounge area of the dorms caught your attention and you shuffled over with an open ear.
"Guess we can't play a quick round after all," you saw Kirishima say as he gave a disappointed smile.
"Round of what?" You asked, finally making your presence known.
Kirishima, Sero, and Denki all turned to you, but Kirishima was the one who answered,
"Oh, hey, (name). We were just about to go kick the soccer ball around, but it started raining."
"Oh," you looked past them out to the window which displayed a hazy grey scenery,
"Well, you could always find things to do inside."
Denki grinned happily at that incredible realization and pumped his fist into the air,
"I know! Let's just play soccer inside!"
You stared at the boys in pure confusion as they all somehow agreed to this idea,
"That's not what I meant..."
Despite others not wanting to get caught in this small bought of rain, there was one person you knew who'd be more than willing to.
You made your way to the entrance of the dorms and opened the front door, an immediate rush of humid air hitting your face. Your lips curved as your eyes caught onto the petite Tsuyu sitting on the very edge of the steps, her long hair cascading behind her.
"I knew I'd find you here," you said softly as you approached Tsuyu, her big round eyes meeting yours as you sat down next to her.
You let out a soft exhale as you took in the smell of the wet rain, not minding the air that clung to your cheeks.
"It wasn't supposed to rain today," Tsuyu said in her cute froggy voice,
"But I'm glad it did."
You turned to Tsuyu, whose expression looked a little bit sad,
"...you ok, Tsu?"
The girl blinked and looked down at her feet, contemplating her next words,
"I was feeling homesick earlier," she looked back up at the grey sky as she continued,
"I miss my family sometimes, and it makes me sad if I think about how they're not here," Tsuyu's eyes softened,
"How I'm not there..."
Your brows furrowed to which Tsuyu noticed and turned to you with a renewed smile,
"I'm ok now. The rain was a nice pick me up."
You smiled back, but waned your smile,
"Please tell me next time you're feeling that way. I don't wanna see you sad, Tsu..."
Tsuyu's cheeks flushed a faint rose and she quickly looked to her shoes again,
"I will."
You smirked and gave her a playful nudge,
"Good."
With that, you focused your attention back to the falling rain, the downpour getting a little heavier than it was earlier. Still, it was so calming to hear the sounds of the droplets crashing into the Earth.
Just then, you felt something land on your shoulder, so you looked down, only to see Tsuyu leaning on you, resting her head on your shoulder.
You yourself blushed now, but you still couldn't help but smile with giddy fervor at her warmth at your side.
You wanted this is single, perfect moment to last forever, but everyone knows the rain has to end eventually.
Still, with the dark, dreary rain,
Comes an bigger, brighter sun.
