A/N: Whoo! First two-parter!! Also more Mirio!! I literally love him way too much. He such a cutie. <3

You stared down at the jumbled mess of notes that sat atop your desk, your eyes heavy and strained from re-reading every little detail to make sure it stuck in your head. It had only been about forty-five minutes since you started this session and you were already almost dead. You sighed and leaned back in your chair, pinching the slight headache that hinted at the bridge of your nose. You partially blamed your unusual exhaustion on the advanced combat training that was hosted by Gunhead, you trying your hardest since that wasn't necessarily your level of expertise, but now you were definitely regretting the after effects. What you needed was some good old-fashioned motivation.

You brought your gaze back down to your desk and picked up your phone. You dug your headphones out of your pocket and plugged them in. Your finger scrolled and scrolled, your mind set on a particular song; your favorite. Your brows perked when you finally saw it and you impatiently tapped it. A tired smile wiped across your face as the beginning riffs gently entered your ears and your body relaxed. At first, you were just gently humming, but as you got more into the song, your voice eventually lifted out of your throat and from there your singing only got louder...

...

Meanwhile, Mirio was just coming from the dining room. Having eaten a hearty ham and turkey sandwich with a protein bar for dessert, he was in a great mood. A large smile decorated his face and his arms swung happily as he stomped his way down the hall of dorms to get to his own at the end of the hall. It was then that his ear suddenly caught wind of something that sounded so sweet. He stopped dead in his tracks (literally mid stride) and just listened.

It was definitely someone singing. The voice was perfectly in tune and was honestly borderline angelic. Mirio just had to know who was behind this beautiful chorus, so he turned to his left and his smile instantly widened as his eyes met with the name plate above the room number.

As if by instinct, he turned on his heel and walked up to the wall, phasing straight through and into the unsuspecting dorm.

...

The song was almost done and you were belting out its last lyrics unhinged and free. Your lips curved into a huge smile as you sang the last words, feeling all the tiredness from your body drain away as the subtle instrumentals drifted into a calm silence. You sighed in bliss and leaned back in your chair, finally opening your eyes after your personal little concert. However, instead of meeting the blankness of your ceiling, your eyes met with a pair of deep blue eyes that were matched with a familiar smile.

"Wow, (l/name), you're a great singer!"

"Agh!" you jumped out of your seat like a frightened cat and tumbled backwards until your back abruptly bumped into your desk, causing a slight thud to echo in the room.

"T-T-T-T--" you swallowed, obviously flustered by the blonde's appearance,

"Togata!" you finally managed to muster,

"What are you doing in here!?" you yammered with a heated face,

"I told you to stop phasing in here, didn't I!?"

The male grinned at your reaction and sat in your chair, swishing from side to side with happy intent,

"You never told me you could sing, (l/name)."

"Don't ignore my questions, Togata!"

"I know that song, by the way. You sang it perfectly! Probably better!" he finished with brows so high you thought they'd fly off his forehead.

Your fiery cheeks burned even more than you thought humanly possible and you immediately ran for your bed, jumping on top and burying your face in your pillow,

"You weren't supposed to hear that..." you said in distorted muffles.

Mirio chuckled and rolled the chair to your bed,

"Why not? Your singing is amazing!"

You stayed silent, much too embarrassed to even face the cute boy just a few inches away. Singing was the most private thing about you and you cursed at yourself for letting your emotions take over your voice. To be heard by Mirio of all people!? The same guy you were secretly head over heels for!? What a disaster!

Mirio leaned his elbows on the bed and rested his head in his hands, his smile softening to a puffed smile,

"There's nothing to be embarrassed about, (l/name)," his voice rose,

"If I had pipes like that I'd singing every single minute of the day!"

You turned you head just enough to see Mirio with one eye,

"You should be proud of your singing."

You looked away from the happy-go-lucky for a moment, then sighed.

"It's just," you sat up and hugged your pillow close to your chest so as to cover your blossoming cheeks,

"I've never sang for anyone before..."

"You sang in front of me."

"That's not the same! I didn't know you were there!"

Mirio laughed, not loudly, but gently and it made your heart skip upon hearing it,

"You're funny, (l/name)."

You grumbled and once again buried your face in your safety net. After a somewhat tense silence, Mirio abruptly stood from your chair,

"I know! Why don't you sing for me tomorrow?"

You lifted your head and stammered,

"W-What? No way!"

Mirio lips bared into the most infectious smile,

"Aw c'mon! It'll just be me. Then that'll shake your stage fright and you can sing for other people!"

Mirio's expression softened along with his voice,

"It'd be a shame not to share your talent. I just know it'll make a lot of people happy."

You puffed your cheeks as you stared at Mirio, your heart thumping quietly at the gentle look on his face. It was as if he was convincing you with just his smile alone.

Finally, you huffed,

"Ok, fine."

Mirio burst into the brightest grin you had ever seen and gave you a huge thumbs up,

"Great! Have those pipes ready for me tomorrow, ok, (l/name)?"

You chuckled at his comment and nodded a little too enthusiastically in your opinion.

"Alright! See ya!"

"Wait, Togata just use the—"

Before you could finish, the brimming teen had already phased through the wall. You shook your head, but couldn't shake the smile that tugged at your cheeks.

'Sing...for Togata?'

You squeaked and slapped your hands over your face.

As flustered as you were, deep down you were excited. You couldn't have been more impatient for tomorrow to come.
