Dark Liam {Liam Payne}

Chapter Four

Evelyn's Pov

Like he promised, Liam is standing at my locker at the end of the day. He is looking at his phone when I reach him. He looks up and smiles. 
"Hey" he simply says. 
"Hi"  I say back. I open my locker and put my books inside. I don't bring any books with me so I close it after that. I turn to Liam and ignore everyone looking at us. 
 "Where do you wanna go then?" I ask him. 
"I wanted to go to my house and hang there if that's okay with you. Don't worry, my parents won't be home" he adds. 
"I wouldn't mind if they were home, so yea, I think that's fine" I tell him and he nods. He leads me over to his car. Just then, when I want to get in, I see Eleanor and Louis walking outside. Eleanor looks quite disappointed. But I just ignore it. I get in the car and put my seatbelt on. 
"It's about 15 minutes" Liam says when he backs out of the parkinglot. I still see everyone staring till we're on the road. Its quiet in the car, so I turn on the radio. The song Maps by Maroon 5 comes on. I love this song. So I start to hum along.

Just then, Liam starts singing along too. I stop singing and listen to his voice. His voice is quite good. So I just stare at him and listen to him. He doesn't stop, he finishes the whole song. He then just looks at me and when he sees I'm looking back, he quickly looks back at the road. 
"You're really good" I tell him. He shakes his head. 
"I am not" he just says. I giggle. 
"Yes, you are" He decides to not say anything. 

A few minutes later, we arrive at his house. There is another car in the driveway. 
"Shit, my mum said she wouldn't be home" Liam mumbles. 
"It's okay Liam" he sighs and nods. We get out the car and walk towards his door. He unlocks it and lets me in. I take my heels off and I hear Liam chuckle. 
"You're quite small without heels" I just blush and nod. He takes his shoes off as well and walks towards what I guess is the livingroom. His mum is sitting on the couch and she smiles brightly when she sees me. 
"Oeh Liam, is this your girlfriend?" Liam sighs. 
"No mum, she's just a good friend" Liam says. I smile at his mum. 
"Oh, we'll I'm Karen, it's nice to meet you dear" she says. I shake her hand. 
"I'm Evelyn, you can call me Eve if you want to and it's nice to meet you too Miss" I say. Karen nods and smiles. 
"Do you want something to drink?" Liam asks me. 
"Uhm, yea a coke please" I say. He nods and walks to the kitchen. I decide to sit on the couch next to Karen. 
"Liam never brings over girls, so I thought that when he would, it'd be his girlfriend, I'm sorry that I just put it out like that" Karen says. 
"Oh don't worry about it, it's okay. People in school look at us like that as well, I'm getting used to it" Karen nods. We talk a little and then Liam comes back with the drinks. 
"You wanna see my room?" he asks. I know he just wants to get away from his mum so I nod and walk after him. We walk the stairs and Liam opens a door. It's a normal sized room. He has a king sized bed though. His desk is on the other side of the room. His closet it next to it. He puts the glasses down on his desk. 
"I'm sorry about my mum" Liam says. I smile. 
"It's okay" 
"No it's not. People keep making you feel uncomfortable and I hate it" he says. I frown. 
"You hate that people make me feel like that?" he nods slowly. 
"I don't wanna see you hurt or anything" he says. He sits down on his bed. I keep repeating that in my head. 
"Why ? You barely know me" I say. He chuckles. 
"Well, you would be suprised how well I know you. This is going to sound really creepy, sorry for that, but I've been watching you for 2 years now. This one time, when Niall and I walked through the hallway, everyone looked. And then I heard laughter, I thought it was because of us, so I looked. And then  Isaw you with your friend, both laughing and not paying attention to us. I liked that. So ever since, I used to look for you. I would sometimes even follow you when it was dark or something to make sure you were alright. When people pushed you, I walked after them and pushed them back. I couldn't stay away, and I don't think I can ever stay away from you" he says. I'm quite shocked that he would just say this. He notices, because his face turns from embarrassed, to worried. 
"You think I'm a loser now don't you?" he says and looks down. I get out of my own world and walk over to him, sitting down in front of him, so I can see his face. 
"No, I don't think that. I just didn't think you would do something like that. I've had a crush on you for years. I always liked watching you through the hallways. I used to think this would happen, but always laughed at myself for thinking that way. I used to be a nerd, so this summer, I figured you would see me if I'd change myself. So I did. And then you looked at me while walking and I thought ; yes, it worked. I became quite the loser with the crush throughout the years" I admit. Liam is now looking at me. 
"So you're saying, that we both had a crush on each other, but both were affraid to admit it?" he asks. I nod with a smile on my face. 
"I think so" I say. He smiles. I then sit down on his bed next to him. He faces me. He starts to lean in slowly, and my heart stops. But then, I start leaning in as well. Our eyes close, and soon, I feel his lips on mine.

I just wanted them to be like this, so I can write better, so I'm sorry if you all think this is going to fast. But they did have a crush on eachother for years soooo
