Chapter Fourteen

~ Evelyn

I wake up in a bed that isn't mine. I squeeze my eyes, letting them adjust to the light. My head is pounding. I slowly look around the room. I relax when I reconize it. Liam's. Just then, memories of yesterday fill my head. Thom being at the party, Liam being there as well, my getting hit. Just a normal saturday night. The door opens and Liam walks in. His eyes are soft. 

"Finally, you're awake" he says. He sits down next to me on the bed. 

"What time is it?" I ask him. 

"It's 6.30, monday morning" he says. My eyes widen. 

"I was out for a day?!" he nods slowly. I groan. Monday, means school. I slowly get up, my head killing me. Liam hands me a glass of water, and a pill. I smile gratefull to him and take it. 

"I went to your house yesterday and explained the situation to your parents. Not all of it off course, just that you were a bit sick and staying over at my house. I took some clothes for you and that stuff for your face and school things. It's in the bathroom" I nod slowly. Liam helps me get out of bed and walks me to the bathroom. I take a 5 minute shower and put on the clothes. It's a grey skinny jeans, a black tank top and a cimono. I roll up the ends of my jeans and put on the socks. I put my hair in a bun and put the 'stuff' on my face. I smile when I think that Liam called my make-up 'stuff for your face'. I walk back into Liam's room, seeing him ready as well. I grab my bag and see he took the books for today as well. He knows my classes and I don't know why. I check my phone and see some texts. I am not in the mood to reply to them so I don't. I just put my phone in my bag. 

"I didn't know which shoes you wanted, but I took your white converse, as I didn't think it was smart to walk in heels today" Liam says and hands me the shoes. I smile. 

"Thank you Liam. Can I ask you something?" I sit down on his bed and put on my shoes. Liam nods. 

"What happened to Thom?" I ask. Liam's face changes. 

"I uhm, I might have hit him a few times till he wasn't moving anymore. Don't worry, I didn't kill him" he says. My eyes widen. I can already see him laying on the street, unconsious. 

"I told Eleanor to call the cops and she did so, never telling them she knew who did it. I think Eleanor is finally coming around and liking me. Now that she is in our group and stuff" I slowly nod. Liam takes my hand and we walk downstairs. Karen already went to work so she isn't home. I wonder if Liam told her what happened. We get in his car and drive to school.

This day is going awfully slow. It finally is lunch break, which I wanted to scream about. I am so hungry. Liam and I didn't have time to eat breakfast this morning. I sit down at the table. Eleanor hugged me, never talking about saturday. Amy and Cassie are staring at me. I know there is a bruise on my face. I hate it, people have been staring at it all day. 

"Girls, I know there is a bruise, you can stop staring now" I say. They snap out of their trans and start eating. Niall and Eleanor are talking, Mason is on his phone. Cassie and Amy are talking to each other. Liam and I are just eating in silence. I get up and throw my food away. 

"Wow, Eve, not in heels, that's a first" Cassie says when I sit back down. I giggle. 

"Yea, thought it wasn't smart, you know, with my head thing. Well actually, Liam didn't think it was smart" I say. Liam looks to his food, not meeting anyone's eyes. He is probably emberrassed that he picked out my outfit. I just smile and grab his hand. He squeezes it and looks at me, smiling. 

"I haven't seen Thom all day" Amy says. Everyone looks at her. I know they've all been dying to talk about it, and now finally someone did. Everyone pays attention when it comes to Thom, or Tyler and Danielle. I remember what Thom said to me, about Danielle. 

"I uh, I know why Danielle wants to hurt me" I say. Everyone's head turns to look at me. 

"Thom told me saturday, before attacking me. He said that Danielle wants to hurt me, because I stole the love of her life or something" I mumble. Everyone frowns. 

"But she is dating Tyler" Amy says. I nod. 

"That's what I said, but apparently she is dating him to get Liam jealous. She is in love with Liam and wants me gone" I say. Liam squeezes my hand. 

"So she thinks that if they hurt you, you'll leave me, and she thinks I'll fall in love with her?" Liam asks me. I nod. 

"That's the plan" I say. Everyone start talking about making plans to stop it. Liam and I are the only ones who are not saying anything. Because we both know there is no way to stop it. Danielle wants something, and she will do anything to get it. And even though I don't know her for long, I know it. I know she won't stop. She might even kill me to get Liam. She is head over heels for him. She even is prepared to date someone to get Liam jealous. I mean, why would she stop if we asked her, or did anything else. It won't work. Amy and Cassie are saying things about going to the police. Mason and Niall say things about beating Tyler and Thom up so Danielle gets scared. Eleanor says things that seem to go both ways. 

"There is only one plan that might work" Liam suddenly says. Everyone looks at him, including me. 

"Eve and I run away"

Updated again :D I missed writing this fanfic, even if it was for 6 days. Sorry about that. Evelyn's outfit is on the side. Should I start just using Eve, or should I keep calling her Evelyn ?
