Dark Liam {Liam Payne}

Chapter Nine

*3 days later*

The dinner at my house was a success. My parents behaved nicely towards Liam and his mum. Liam's mum and my mum got along really well, which makes me happy. We talked a bit about school, about our lives and just some random things. 

Today is friday. After school, Eleanor and I are going shopping. I love that we have a girls day. We didn't have one for quite some time, as she usually hangs out with Louis and stuff. And the last weeks I've spend my time with Liam. So we decided to just go shopping. 

I am in the bathroom in school, just freshing up. I look at my outfits. I wear dark skinny jeans, a sleeveless top, a leather jacket, Vans in the same colour as my shirt. My hair is down and hanging over my shoulders. My make up is quite natural. I just smile and wash my hands. I then go to my locker, waiting for Eleanor. I dump my books in there and grab my stuff that I'll need this weekend. 
"Hey !" I hear Eleanor's voice. I turn around after closing my locker. I hug her and she dumps her books as well. 
"Ready?" she then asks and I nod. We walk out of the school and towards the busstop. 

We walk in the mall. 
"Where do you wanna go?" I ask her. 
"H&M?" Eleanor says and I nod. We walk towards it and look around. I see a dress that would totally fit Eleanor and grab it for her. I hold it up and Eleanor's face lights up. 
"That's gorgeous!" she says and grabs it out of my hands. I giggle. 
"You're welcome" I say and she smiles. We walk through the shop and grab some random clothes and fit them. That's what we do. We end up buying just a few things and we walk out. 

We're walking over the food court. 
"KFC?" I ask her and she nods. 
"I love that and you know it, why still asking?" she asks. Eleanor has a serious obsession with KFC. So we walk towards it. I suddenly stop walking. 
"El? Wait" I say. She looks at me with a frown. 
"Why?" she asks. I point. She follows me pointed finger and then sees the person I'm seeing. That guy. The trouble guy. Her eyes widen. He turns around and he sees us. He starts smirking and starts walking towards us. I grab Eleanor's hand and pull her with me to the other side. We walk away from the food court, in a fast way. Not running, but just fast walking. I look behind me and see him walking after us. 
"Where ?" I ask Eleanor. We look around us. 
"That way!" Eleanor says and pulls me with her in a hall way with shops and people. We look behind us and still see him. When I wanna look foward again, I walk into someone. Luckily, we both stay up. I look up and see Cassie and Amy. 
"What's going on?" Amy asks. I look behind me, Eleanor does the same, but the guy is gone. 
"You know the guy I told you about in Biology ? The one you told me was trouble, he was here and he was following us and we freaked and then we walked into you" I explain. Cassie frowns. 
"Who?" she asks Amy. 
"Thom" Amy answers. 
"So his name is Thom" Eleanor randomly says. Amy looks at Eleanor. 
"This is my best friend Eleanor, El, this is Amy, and you already met Cassie" I say. Amy smiles at Eleanor, and Cassie does too now. 
"Where did you see him?" Cassie asks. 
"Food court, near KFC" Eleanor answers. 
"Oh I love KFC ! Let's go there!" Cassie says to Amy. 
"O my god, I love it to!" Eleanor says. Cassie grabs Eleanor's hand and pulls her with her towards the food court. 
"C'mon, we're here now, he is not gonna hurt you" Amy says and pulls me with her, following Cassie and Eleanor. 

We're sitting, eating KFC. 
"Can you tell me about Thom ? Why is he warning me for Liam?" I ask. Cassie and Amy look at each other. 
"C'mon guys" I say. They both sigh. 
"Thom used to be Liam's best friend. I used to date him" Cassie starts. 
"Thom wanted us to bully people. He wanted that we hurt people, make them cry or something. We first did what he told us, he was a year older, so we became the 'cool' kids. But he went way to far with it. He beat people up, and wanted us to do the same. At one point, he got mad at me for not doing what he said, so he beat me as well and I broke up with him. I told Liam, as Liam and I were close friends. Liam beat Thom up and we basically made it clear we didn't wanna be friends with him anymore. He obviously got mad. He told Liam he'd get his revenge. He tried to hurt Liam a few times, didn't work though. But because of him beating Thom up, he became this badass. People think he is dangerous, which he's not, he was just protecting me. Anyway, Amy and I think you will be Thom's revenge" Cassie says. A tear rolls down her face. 
"So that's what Liam's mum was talking about, when she said Liam made a few bad choices. It was being friends with Thom" I say and they nod. Eleanor has shock all over her face. She lays her hand on Cassie's. 
"I'm so sorry" she says. She then turns to me. 
"I'm sorry for being so rude about Liam all the time, I should've known better than to miss judge" she says. I hug her. 
"It's okay" 
"Does Liam know it was Thom in the hallway?" Amy asks me. I shake my head. 
"No, I don't think so" 
"Good, keep it that way. Liam will become really protective over you when he figures it out" Amy says. I nod. 
 "I'll keep it from him as long as possible" I say and they nod. 
"We'll protect you as much as possible" they say. 
"I'll let Louis keep an eye on you as well" Eleanor says. 
"Who's Louis?" Cassie asks. 
"My boyfriend" Eleanor says proudly. She shows a picture.
"Oh cute!" Amy and Cassie say. Eleanor giggles and stares at the picture of them two. I just keep eating. I can't let Liam know about today. I don't want him to worry about me. I just don't know how to keep myself away from Thom.
