"(y/n), I can't believe you were interacting with Wolves! You could have been torn to shreds by those vicious monsters!" Your mother scolded you as she checked you for wounds.

"Mama, I'm fine! And those creatures weren't dangerous at all! They were kind and charming." You smiled, thinking back to how Jongdae had spoke with a smile the entire time.

"Not all Wolves will be like that, dear. Most of them are killers." Your father sighed as he cleaned his shot gun. You shrunk away from him as he loaded the weapon with homemade silver bullets.

"Exactly. You were so lucky that Minho was there to protect you. You couldn't go wrong marrying a man like him or even better, him!" You mother smiled, taking the wolfsbane you had picked and stowed it in a jar before putting it in the spice cabinet.

"He's very fond of you, (y/n). He's already asked me for my blessing and of course I said yes." Your father boasted. You groaned and shook your head.

"There is no way I am marrying that self entitled snake. That poor Wolf was doing nothing but standing there and he shot him! Not one of them tried to harm me in anyway!" You complained, rolling your eyes.

"In the end, it is your choice but we just want what's best for you and Minho is the best of the best, child." Your father smiled softly, rubbing his thumb over the top of your hand. He stood up from the table and kissed your head before leaving with his gun.

"Now, dear, go get washed up for dinner. You've had a long day." Your mother said softly, flitting about the kitchen as she started to prepare dinner. You trudged upstairs, praying that you would never be forced to marry Minho.

The next day, there was a loud knock on your door. Your mother answered and immediately, you knew who it was.

"Oh, Minho! How nice to see you! Please come in!" She smiled happily, leading him over to where you were sitting at the table. Minho leaned over and kissed your head in greeting, almost making you throw up the eggs you had been eating.

"I felt like we got off on the wrong foot yesterday, (y/n). I would like to take you back to the border and we can pick some wolfsbane together for your lovely mother. What do you say?" He smirked at you. You shook your head before swallowing your food.

"No. I want nothing to do with you." You said flatly, shoving more eggs in your mouth.

"Come on, love. Is this still about that smelly dog from yesterday? I'm sure he's fine. It wasn't a killing shot." Minho sneered, making you slam your foot down on top of his own. His knee slammed against the table and he groaned in pain before you stood up and left the house, needing to be free of Minho and his games.
