The next morning, you woke up in Jongdae's arms. His body hummed with the deep breaths he was taking. You noticed how different these creatures were from humans no matter how much they disguised themselves to look like them. Their mannerisms and personalities resembled those of wolves and puppies too much to believe that they were solely human.
You smiled as his head leaned into your touch as you stroked the hair out of his face. He was almost purring as you touched him. You noticed a small patch of skin on the bridge of his nose that was tanner than the rest and resembled the shape of a crescent moon. You let your finger gently graze over it before his eyes shot open.
"What is it?" He groaned, realizing that you were just admiring his mark.
"Nothing, baby. I was just looking at this mark on your nose. What does it mean?" You asked. He sighed and brushed his long fingers against the spot.
"It's our pack's mark. We all have the same one. We're the Southside Pack." He explained, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"You mean there are other packs?" You asked excitedly.
"Of course there are other packs. The only one we share borders with are the Eastside Pack. Their mark is a star. They're very small but their older pack members are very strong. So strong, they could have four alphas."
"What about their other members?" You asked, tracing circles across his chest.
"Ahh, they're just pups. They're all younger than Sehun. Annoying little shits." Jongdae groaned as he thought about the Eastside Pack's youngest members.
"How many do they have?" You asked.
"Three. Jungkook is their youngest. He's brand new. He's fifteen and they're still teaching him their borders. He's hopeless." Jongdae chuckled, resting an arm behind his head.
"Maybe he just needs a little more guidance." You smiled, kissing his neck softly. He pulled you closer with one arm, sighing at the feeling of your lips on his neck.
"He has all the guidance in the world. Seokjin is like his mother. Where ever the maknae goes, he goes. It's embarrassing. You don't see Chanyeol or Minseok following Sehun around." Jongdae laughed before a knock sounded against his door.
"Breakfast!" An unfamiliar voice sounded. Jongdae smiled and perked up at the voice.
"Jongin's home!" He said excitedly, jumping up and throwing his clothes on before running out of the room. You heard a loud grunt and happy laughter coming from down the hall. You threw on a pair of Jongdae's clean boxers and a clean shirt before walking out into the hallway to see your mate wrestling with a wolf about the same size as him but with a little more muscle.
"You can never win, Chen! Bulk up!" Jongin laughed, pinning Jongdae to the carpet. When Jongdae saw that you were watching he growled and flipped Jongin over so that he was on top.
"Not in front of my girl." Jongdae sneered before standing up and walking over to you. Jongin looked up and gasped as he saw the mark on your neck. He hurried to his feet and walked over to you.
"Hi there. I'm Jongin or Kai. Either one is fine. You are?" Jongin smiled, kissing your hand in greeting. You blushed as Jongdae pulled you closer possessively.
"I'm (y/n). Nice to meet you." You smiled. Jongin high-fived Jongdae with a wide smile on his face.
"The universe picked you a good one." Jongin chuckled before walking into the dining room.
"Jongin's our spy. He's the only one of us that doesn't have a mark. He can live amongst any pack he chooses but his true home is with us." Jongdae explained. You nodded before following Jongin into the dining room. Everyone was gathered around a large table that was ladened with all kinds of food.
"Who prepared all this?" You asked.
"I did." A man with a buzzed haircut smiled at you.
"That's Kyungsoo. He is the most amazing chef ever." Jongdae smiled, pulling out a chair for you. You sat down beside Soomi before she pulled you into a tight hug.
"Finally! I'm not the only girl here!" She said with a sigh.
"Are you a human too?" You asked excitedly.
"Oh, no! I was a stray but Baekhyun found me and we were destined to be mates." She explained, looking at Baekhyun fondly. He grinned and kissed her cheek.
"The prettiest white wolf I've ever seen." Baekhyun sighed before Tao scoffed.
"Are you sure about that?" He smirked waving a large, white paw in the air where his hand was supposed to be.
"Zitao, no shifting at the table." Junmyeon growled. Tao's paw immediately turned back into a hand before he continued to eat.
"Well, I think (y/n) should see all of our wolf forms after breakfast so that she doesn't get confused about who's who." Tao said softly.
"Yes, after breakfast. Not during." Chanyeol said harshly before flicking a piece of ham at the healer. Tao cringed before growling at Chanyeol.
"That's enough, you two! You're acting like the Eastside pups." Minseok growled, shutting the two up immediately. You looked at Jongdae with a smile before eating some of your breakfast.
After breakfast, you followed the pack outside for their morning run. You watched as all of them turned into wolves. You recognized Jongdae, Baekhyun, and Minseok and a little bit of Tao's paw. You had to admit that Tao was a very pretty wolf. His eyes were not gold but a crystal blue. Soomi's eyes were green. Her pelt was a platinum blonde while Tao's was more white.
Junmyeon was the largest wolf with a tan pelt. Sehun was the smallest with a grey pelt. Kyungsoo, Chanyeol, and Jongin all had some deviations of red pelts while Minseok's was a light creme.
Jongdae approached you and motioned for you to get on his back. You smiled and did as you were told, holding onto his fur tightly as he ran with the rest of his pack. The feeling you got being amongst these creatures was unlike anything you had ever felt before. You loved being with them and were happy to say that they had accepted you as well.
