Chanyeol sat next to Jisoo as she watched Tao closely. The healer had been examining her son for a few minutes now and she was starting to get worried.

"What's wrong with him?" She asked. Chanyeol pulled her close to him but she allowed it. He could sense her fear so he tried his best to help her stay calm.

"He's alright. Just shaken up. He just needs some time to calm down." Tao said softly, rubbing Dongsoo's back as he continued to shake. The little boy got up shakily and walked over to his mother who took him into her arms and rocked him back and forth.

"You're okay, my angel. Mama's here. You're okay." She cooed to him, kissing the side of his head as Chanyeol rubbed Dongsoo's shoulder. The boy pulled away from his mother and flung himself into Chanyeol's arms. The tall wolf sat in shock before he wrapped his arms around the boy. He kissed his head and held him close.

"It's okay, buddy. We're right here. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise. You both are safe with me." Chanyeol whispered softly but loud enough to where Jisoo could hear him. She sat staring at the interaction between her son and the wolf. She felt a strong attraction to Chanyeol and vice versa. Almost as if he was made for her and she was made for him.

After a few minutes, thunder could be heard from outside and rain poured down heavily. Jisoo sighed as she realized the walk back to the village would be impossible. Junmyeon seemed to sense her concern because he spoke directly to her.

"If you would like to stay until the storm blows over, you are more than welcome. Chanyeol, show them to one of the empty rooms."

"Actually, I was thinking they could stay with me, if it's alright? I figured they'd feel safer." Chanyeol asked. Junmyeon nodded as a sign that he understood and approved. Chanyeol gave Jisoo's leg a soft pat, signaling for her to follow him. He held Dongsoo's hand and led them up the stairs and into the first door on the right. He opened the door and led them inside before closing it.

"Thank you, Chanyeol. You didn't have to do that." Jisoo smiled softly at him. His heart fluttered at the sight of her smile. He truly believed that she was his mate.

After putting Dongsoo to sleep on a small couch in the corner, Chanyeol and Jisoo laid down in his bed, her head rested on his bare chest.

"Jisoo, can I ask you something?"

"Of course."

"Tell me honestly, what do you think of me?" He asked, his hand traced circles on her soft skin.

"I like you, a lot. You're the first man that my son has actually felt comfortable around. I feel very comfortable around you and I have no idea why."

"I think I have an explanation. Wolves and humans have different ways of finding partners. Humans get to choose while Wolves do not. The reason why we both have felt oddly comfortable around each other is because the universe has chosen you to be my mate. We're destined to be together." Chanyeol explained, turning over so that he was looking into her eyes. His hand reached up and cupped her cheek. He smiled as she leaned into his touch.

"I'd like that very much." Jisoo smiled before Chanyeol closed the distance between them and locked his lips to her own. She molded her body to fit his as he rolled over so he was on top of her, one hand resting on her hip. He pulled away and left hot kisses on her neck, making her sigh in pleasure. He continued for a few seconds before she pushed him away gently.

"What's wrong?" He panted, looking at her worriedly.

"We can't do this with Dongsoo here. He'll wake up." Chanyeol smirked and leaned down to whisper in her ear.

"Not if you're quiet." He let out a soft growl before sucking a spot into the skin of her neck. She gasped and wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. She had never felt such euphoria and she knew that this was where she belonged.
