A Moonlit Dream

Chapter 21

  The next morning, you felt strange. You always felt sore after a night with Jongdae but it wasn't like that at all. It was an internal feeling. You got out of bed carefully to not wake up the sleeping creature beside you before throwing on some clothes and going to Tao's room. You knocked softly and he answered almost immediately.

  "(y/n)! Is everything okay? How are you feeling?" He asked, looking over you.

  "Hi, Tao. I'm doing alright. Could we go to the lab real quick? I feel odd." You said as your stomach turned in a disgusting way, making you feel very nauseous. Tao nodded and led you to his lab, opening the door and standing aside to let you in. You sat on the examination table and waited for him to get himself situated.

  "Okay. So what's going on?" He asked softly.

  "Well, Dae and I had sex last night and we didn't use protection. I just wanted to see if I could possibly be pregnant already. I feel nauseous too." You explained your symptoms to the healer and he wrote them down before standing up.

  "Lay down for me. Let me check." Tao said, lifting up your shirt and placing a hand on your abdomen. He closed his eyes as he concentrated before pulling away with a big smile on his face.

  "Well?"

  "Congratulations, (y/n)! You are indeed pregnant!" The Wolf beamed excitedly. You smiled, covering your mouth to hold in any sounds.

  "Oh my goodness! I'm so happy!! But, how did it happen so fast?" You asked.

  "Werewolves conceive relatively quickly. Almost over night. The normal human timeline of a pregnancy is nine months. The timeline of a Werewolf is nine weeks." Tao said seriously. Your jaw dropped in shock. In nine weeks, you would be giving birth to a human/werewolf hybrid.

  "That's incredible! I have to go tell Jongdae!" You smiled, getting up and hugging Tao. "Thank you!" You said as you ran out and back to your room. You threw the door open like it was Christmas morning and jumped onto Jongdae as he slept. He grunted and rubbed his eyes before looking at you.

  "What? I was dreaming about our future." He groaned, turning over to try to go back to sleep. You kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear.

  "You don't have to dream anymore, baby. It's happening now!" You smiled happily as he looked at you and then at your stomach.

  "Are you serious? You're pregnant?!" He said, obviously in shock. You beamed and nodded.

  "Oh my god!! Really?! You're having a baby?! We're having a baby?! I can't believe this!" He cheered happily as he jumped out of bed and picked you up, kissing you as he spun you around. You laughed and buried your face in his neck.

  "We're having a baby." You repeated his words as he kissed you again.

  "We have to tell everyone! Let's go!" He said excitedly, almost running out into the hall with no clothes on. He quickly threw something on and took you downstairs as people started coming out of their rooms.

  "Everyone! We have an announcement to make!" Jongdae said loudly, his hand on your waist. Baekhyun looked up from his hands as Chanyeol turned to listen. Minseok, Kyungsoo, Junmyeon, Flora and Tao all sat down to listen as well.

  "Jongdae and I are expecting our first baby!" You smiled happily before the room burst into cheers. Your mother hugged you tightly as she sobbed. Junmyeon hugged Jongdae while the rest of the pack patted you both on the back.

  "Special breakfast on me! What would baby like?" Kyungsoo asked you. You laughed and rubbed your stomach.

  "Anything. We're hungry!" You giggled as everyone poured into the dining room to celebrate the news.
