After Jongdae woke up, he noticed that Soomi was no longer sleeping on his chest. He sat up in a panic only to find you sitting by his feet cradling your daughter.

"Good morning! Sleep well?" You teased him as he rubbed his eyes.

"Eh. Alright, I guess. Where were you?" He asked.

"Upstairs. Taking a nap. Were they able to find that Wolf?" You asked.

"Yes. It's not good news. He was trying to take Jangmi to his pack to use her as a slave. After she would have reached a certain age, they would have killed her. They're working on finding him and killing him or starting a war. I don't know anything yet." Jongdae sighed as he watched Soomi snuggled into your shoulder, still fast asleep. He smiled at her lovingly, not realizing that his smile hadn't gone unnoticed.

"I've never seen you smile as much as after she's been born." You teased him. He let out a low growl and tickled her small foot, making her shift in her sleep.

"I've never loved anything more than what you've given me. You gave me the ability to be a father. This is the proudest moment of my life, (y/n). I smile because I love her more than the world." He sighed, leaning over to kiss her nose. His chest rumbled as he took in her soft scent. A pleasant mix of you, sweet milk and lavender.

"She smells so good." He thought aloud as you stroked his hair.

"She does." You whispered, not wanting to wake her up. Jongdae held her hand as she slept, never letting his eyes wander away from her. She was everything to him and he could never imagine his life without her.

After a few minutes of just staring, Jongdae stood up to stretch. He yawned before looking towards the front door.

"Will you two be alright if I go for a run?" He asked. You nodded your head and stood up, placing a hand on Soomi's head so she wouldn't wake up.

"Yeah, we'll be fine. Go clear your head. I'm gonna go put her down." You said softly before going back upstairs. Jongdae nodded before walking outside. He looked up at the full moon in the sky and took in a deep breath. He could feel the moon's energy and it acted as a comforter, letting him know that everything was going to be alright.
