Chapter 1

MISSY's POV:

Ridge Park High School

It all happened one summer night. Someone shouted my name.

"Missyyyy!!" A very loud voice echoed through the stillness of the night.

I just felt a strong force. Someone grabbed me and pulled me away from where I was standing, causing me to lose balance and fall. Pero mabilis nya akong nasambot, at niyakap sa kanyang bisig. Saka pinagulong ang aming katawan sa kung saan. Na animo'y may iniiwasan. I clung to him tightly. Until I heard some loud bangs just near where we came from.

After a moment of silence, he let go of me. I also removed the blindfold from my eyes, and instantly a man appeared to me with a clean-cut hairstyle. I looked at him. His face was so familiar and just a few inches away as his dark brown eyes directly stared into mine.

"Are you okay?" he immediately asked.

"Liam?...." I was breathing heavily while whispering his name.

I'm still a little shocked. I have no idea what really happened. Parang tumigil ang mundo ko ng mga oras na iyon. But I felt a bit less intense when I saw Liam in front of me. I just can't explain how I feel right now. Pero baka tutuo nga ang sabi nila.

My thoughts were cut off when I heard the successive loud sounds of the bell ringing throughout the whole school building. Notifying that school was over.

"Are you okay, Missy?"

I heard a familiar voice, and I turned around. Just like what I had in mind, it was Liam. Hindi pa rin sya tumatayo sa sitting chair nya.

"You seemed so distracted. May problema ka ba?" Liam asked again in curiosity.

"Ahhh. Something just flashed in my head." I replied, looking at him. Siguro napansin nya na kanina pa ako nakatitig sa kawalan.

"You look more beautiful today. It looks like the summer break did a lot for you. I'm glad na magka-klase pa rin tayo." he said warmly and his eyes sparkled.

I gently smiled at him, but deep inside, he made my heart so happy. I was just thinking about him earlier. Heto na naman ako. Pagkatapos kasi ng nangyari noong bakasyon ay ngayon ko na lang sya nakita uli. He was a hero to me, then. And he is even more handsome now.

"By the way Missy, are you going out with Gavin?"

"Huh? Si Gavin?" confused as to why I was asked about Gavin.

Saan nanggaling 'yon? I had no idea what he was talking about. Hindi naman kami close ni Gavin.

He gave me a long look before nodding and cracking a small smile. I also smiled at him. Madalas, quite lang at very reserved ang pagkatao ni Liam, at civil lang sya kung mag-entertain ng girls. But it seems that something has changed in him now. I'm not used to it. He's not this vocal
