"Ice cream Parlor"

MISSY's POV:

I feel like I'm floating on a cloud. In the past, we would just mostly work together because of our school group projects. Although, there are times that I catch him glancing at me, I myself avoid looking at him, even though it is contrary to my feelings. Hindi naman kasi ako nag-expect na magugustuhan nya ako.

Ngayon ay kasabay ko na si Liam na naglalakad para ihatid ako sa aming bahay.

"Liam, tungkol nga pala sa tanong mo kanina—about us?"

"It's okay, Missy. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali. Pag-isipan mo pa rin. Ayoko namang pwersahin ka kung hindi ka pa ready." His crooked smile showcased his eccentric charm. "So,---paano? I'll see you tomorrow sa school." paalam pa nya.

"Okay. I'll see you then, Liam. Salamat sa paghatid."

I waved him goodbye before I eventually closed our home's gate. I immediately went straight to my room. There, I poured out all the excitement that I had been holding in there.

Oh, my god! Si Liam. Nagtapat talaga sya sa akin! Parang kinikiliti ang aking buong katawan na humilata sa kama. Ang saya–saya, diba? But immediately, my feeling was taken back by worry. I feel a little sad. Matagal kong hinintay ang pagkakataon na ito, but I felt so stupid that I didn't respond to him immediately. Pagkakataon ko na 'yon sana.

Bakit nga ba?

I like him too, but I need some time to think about this. I need some time to process this. I'm still trying to figure out if my feelings would be worthy of him.

I was in those thoughts when I heard my phone ringing, but I ignored it. It started ringing again, so I groped in my pocket for it. Ang tawag ay mula sa unknown number. Kaya nag-aalangan akong sagutin dahil hindi ko kilala ang tumatawag.

"He-hello?" I decided to answer it.

"Hey, what took you so long to answer your phone?" mula iyon sa kabilang linya.

"Sino ba 'to?" I wanted to know who had called.

"Nagbibiro ka ba? Paanong hindi mo ako kilala?"

"Hindi ka nakalista sa phone number list ko, kaya huwag kang masyadong assuming."

"Si Gavin ito." He seemed unable to bear it, and he instantly introduced himself.

"Si Gavin ka ba talaga?" ulit ko pa. Hindi ko kasi sya nakilala, iba ang boses nya sa telepono.

"Mag-ice cream tayo?" biglang yaya nya.

"Ice cream? Teka nga, paano mo ba nalaman number ko?" I asked, lifting the phone to my face.

"Importante pa ba 'yon? Marami namang paraan kung gugustuhin ko. Can you please hurry up? Get out of your house now. Kanina pa kasi ako nilalamok dito sa labas ng gate nyo."

"What! You're here!!" It was already seven o'clock when I looked at my watch. I immediately got up and glanced out my room's window, where I could see the exterior of our garage. There, he was already waiting outside.

Anak ng________??

What's wrong with him? Gabing-gabi na, nang-iistorbo pa.

"Sino ba kasi ang may sabi sa'yo na pumunta ka dito? I didn't invite you to come here."
