I wanna be
The man in my dreams
The one so selfless,
who's exactly how he seems.
And knows exactly what you mean.
I wanna feel
Something that's real.
Not an ordinary life, not for me.
A perfectly imperfect boy,
that's who I aspire to be.
I long to find
The way to be kind
So unlike the person I've been.
Who works hard,
can normally think straight,
and is good at comforting friends.
I aspire to be
So loyal and true,
Someone who breathes normally
and maybe has a clue
Of who he wants to be
past the high school hierarchy
And maybe past college too.
I don't want to be
Someone like me
At least not the me I am now.
Someone who procrastinates away
whole months of life
And doesn't care
when loved ones are down.
I don't want to be
Someone like me
At least not who I am now.
I want to be
this newer, better me,
At least far as karma will allow.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Vote for me,
an ordinary boy,
clueless in this world,
probably just as much,
if not more
than you.
Comment for you,
And kindly tell me who
You are and aspire to be.
And Follow if you like this poem
And in these ideas, believe.
Who do you want to be?
