62. Purpose Don't Stand a Chance

Isn't it widely and crudely amusing,
These speeches about futures to find?
People who move each day next to nowhere;
All talk with no actions behind?

Dreams along webs of lovely grandeur,
but most don't ever hit higher.
Stuck in between a lost city of clouds and realism caught in the wire.

Frigid the air when reality strikes
But a bit of commitment goes far.
Sticking it out for the length of a lifetime
Yet it feels like nothing at all.

But moments and souls who search and who find
A line that true to their cause
Are so very far and few in between,
You won't even notice the loss.

Icy the hand that once fed us.
Soothing the coals we let burn.
Emotions all mixing and jumbling together.
Why does the world never learn?

Comment please, I like when you guys share things with me, it's nice(:

I'll probably be posting another poem in the next hour or so. Unfortunately I've got a lot of unresolved issues floating around in my brain right now and it feels like if I don't get some of it out, even just a few written words to people who barely know me, everything will bubble up and out and cause an explosion or something.
