Update: today I'm officially 18.

6:31 am.

Today was my birthday.

I was still in bed because I thought that someone would burst in with a six layered cake with balloons saying 'surprise!', but, nope. I rubbed my forehead and stared at the popcorn ceiling above.

I heard my door open, revealing Sadie. She had a smile on her face, with a small paper plate, and a cupcake with a single candle in it. I sat up in bed, smiling at her. "You remembered." I say quietly. "Of course I remembered. Noah made me!" Sadie laughed, making me chuckle. "Make a wish." Sadie whispered. I shut my eyes, making a wish that I hoped would become real. I then blew out the tiny orange flame, as smoke slowly flew above it. "Do you wanna piece?" I asked Sadie. "Who doesn't?" Sadie and I clicked forks together. "Cheers." We said at the same time. We nibbled away on the confetti cake mixed cupcake, until only the wrapper was left, along with a few crumbs. "Does Noah hate me." I asked her, moving my hair out of my eyes. "Why would you say that?" She swallowed her last mouth full. I shrugged. "You two have, such unique personalities that's all." Sadie comforted me. I brushed my hair out of my face, "thank you," I hugged the ginger. "for everything." I shut my eyes and hugged her tighter at my last words. "What do you mean?" She giggled as we parted. "Just, you meet me at a random party in the middle of no where, shake my hand, and next thing I know it you're letting me and my gay friend Noah live in your house for free, and suddenly we are best friends." I explain with my hands in the air. Sadie grinned at me, looking down at her hands. "It's been my pleasure." She smiled. "also," I looked up at the girl. "I felt that I needed someone that understood me ya know?" I nodded as she spoke. "I mean, don't get me wrong, Finn's great, but.. I needed some new friends for a change." She tied her hair up. We both sighed, "hows your stomach feeling?" She asked curiously. "Eh, the usual. I'm just glad it's all over." I frowned. "I feel bad in a way. Almost guilty." "Millie, you did nothing wrong." Sadie held my hand. "The good news is, we still have some of that left over money that Finn and Gaten raised for you." She smirked cheekily. "True." I lay back on the bed, Sadie copied my actions as we lay side by side. "I love you Sadie Sink." I shut my eyes. "I love you too Millie Brown."
