Update: two of my best friends are both gay. And I'm proud of both of them.
Today I went to a support group in town.
I had nothing else to do anyways, so I thought, why not? We all sat around in a circle, and told each other our names, ages, thoughts, and struggles. All eyes fell on me. I stood up and said my name. "Uh, hi." I waved awkwardly. "My names Millie, I'm seventeen, I hate tampons, and, I'm epileptic." I smiled, sitting back down as the room clapped. "Thank you Millie." The leader grinned. The next to go was a boy that I had already noticed once I came in the building. He looked about my age,
"Hi I'm Daniel, I'm nineteen, I hate my sister, and I'm trying to figure out my sexuality right now." He sat back down, as everyone clapped. "Thank you Daniel," the man said. "Next!"

I wanted to talk to this Daniel guy. He seemed pretty cool. I tapped him on the shoulder. "Hi!" I say weirdly. I pinched myself after for saying it that way. "Hey." He turned around, giving me a smile. "I saw you at that support group earlier." I shook his hand. "Oh, yeah, you're that girl who hates tampons." He laughed. He looked really nice. He had a lip piercing, which I found really cool. "Is that your family?" I asked, referring to all the younger kids and two adults. "Oh uh, yeah." He laughs. "There's a lot of us." I smiled at him for about thirty seconds, when things started to get weird. "Well, nice meeting you." I end things there. I said goodbye and skipped to the parking lot, where Noah was waiting for me. "You've got a spring in your step." He says in surprise at my attitude. "I just met some guy and he's really cool." I say, buckling my seat belt. "I thought I was the coolest one." Noah pretended to wine and pout like a stray puppy. I gave him a slap. "Oh shut up."

I sat on the already made bed, while holding the framed picture of mom in my cold hands.
She looked exactly like me. People say I have her eyes, and her smile. It made me sad, to think that she lived a horrible life. I wondered what she thought of when she was my age. Noah says I think too much, and I don't doubt him. On top of all this, I couldn't believe that Dad was gone. For good.
In most ways he deserved it though.
And now I'm alone on this strange planet, with my best friends. And I had to get back on my feet.
The kitchen wall phone rang. "Ugh! Can someone get that!" I shouted. No one listened obviously. "Fuck!" I groaned, stomping over to answer the phone. "What." I say angrily. "Hey baby." I knew it was Finn since he always called me that name. "Oh uh, hi." I lighten my voice. "Wanna meet up?" He asked. "I have beer." I could tell he was smirking from the other end of the phone. I finally gave in. "Meet outside of the school in ten." He hung up. I smiled to myself as I tied my converse up and quietly left the house. I walked to the school, surprisingly remembering the way since Sadie brought me with her the other day. I stuffed my hands in my hoodie pocket and looked around the empty campus. Where was that dick? I wondered. A pair of warm hands suddenly covered my eyes, making my breath hitch. "Guess the fuck who?" He chuckled. "Finn the fuck Wolfhard." I teased back, soon releasing his hands from my eyes. I turned around to face the taller boy. "C'mon." He took my hand in his, leading me to the back of the school.
