Chevy watched in amusement as Midori hurled the trashcan across the room. Their mission had been delayed two days due to the breakdown of one of their vehicles. Not that he could blame the Blackhawk alpha. He wanted to get home to his mate too.

The eclipse was a month away. The pull was getting stronger and stronger.  Not to mention he'd stop taking the suppressants.  He knew it must have been more difficult for Midori being an alpha.

He sighed. They were just supposed to sneak in and rescue two high ranking weres and a witch who were being held for ransom. But no. the heavy vehicle they needed threw a rod. So they had to wait for the back up. Dom was livid and chewed out the vehicle maintenance crew so bad even the alpha in charge went home in tears. So here they sat waiting for a replacement vehicle from another ally pack.

They finally got the green light three hours later. After rechecking their intel, they moved in. What was supposed to be a smash and grab turned into anything but. The kidnappers had been tipped off and they ran into an ambush. Not only that, the kidnappers were more heavily armed than their intel stated. They were fucked without lube.

Chevy could hear Midori yelling in his earpiece. He was ordering men to fall back and regroup at their points of entry. An explosion rocked the building and Chevy and his team were being thrown to the floor. He grunted as a gamma from Frost Moon fell ontop of him.

"Shit, beta. My bad."

Chevy waved him off.  "No worries. Let's get the hell out of here." He stood up looking around for the rest of their team. The delta from Blackhawk and another gamma from Oak Moon helped each other up and retrieved their weapons. A curse left his lips as he ran over to one of his team lying on the ground with something sticking out of his chest. He knelt down and took his helmet off.

He groaned looking up into Chevy's eyes. "Beta?"

Chevy reached in his hip pack and pulled out gauze trying to pack the area around the wound. "Relax, we're gonna get you out of here."

He looked down at his chest and laughed. The laugh turned into a wet cough. "I dunno, beta. This is pretty bad."

It did look bad and Chevy was freaking out inside.  "You'll make it."

"I'm dead weight."

"Shut up, Samuelson," the gamma that fell on Chevy replied. "We ain't leavin' your sorry hide." He knelt down and began pulling stuff out of the medical kit on his hip.

"Bite me, Connors," Samuelson snapped.

Connors chuckled. "You'd like that."

He laughed again then swore when his lungs began to burn.

Chevy shook his head and pressed the button on his radio. "This is Beta Jiminez, anyone copy?"

"Go ahead, beta."

"Samuelson is pretty bad. We need a medic."

Another explosion rocked the building. Chevy and Connors covered Samuelson protectively.

"Things are a little hairy, beta. Can you make it to your entry point?"

Chevy and Samuelson exchanged a look. The older were wouldn't make it. "He has a projectile sticking out of his chest."

"What's your location, beta?"

The delta showed him their position on the building map.  "Northside of the compound."

"This is Alpha DeLaVega, we're not far from you. Sit tight."

He felt a sense of relief hearing Cisero's voice.  "Copy, alpha."
