Frost Moon was busier than usual with all the extra visitors that came in support of the alpha family. It helped offer the pack comfort knowing that they weren't suffering alone and they had the support of their allies. A were's spirit animal was everything. Losing it as an adult simply made you a mortal human. As a child, it was almost a guaranteed death sentence.

Snow's father and grandfather returned to the pack to support their sons. Gaeus, Samshin, and Linc – the elf that killed the witch that cursed Emri- also returned. The alpha families from Dark Moon West, Whitebeard, and Blackhawk were also in attendance. The betas of Dark Moons North and Central came in place of their alphas.

The Dukh Vovk , Judge Aiyln and her mates arrived early in the day to spend time with the pack before Emri's wolf stripping. Beta Reuben and Sloan showed them around the pack so Snow could spend time with his family. As darkness fell, the beta lead them to the pack house conference room while Snow went to get his mate. He found him in the nursery standing by the window crying, blood dripping onto the carpet as he held his arm to his chest.

Snow rushed to his side and turned Bunny so he could look him over. Bunny just pushed him away and wiped his face trying to stop the flow of tears.

"Lapin, what happened?"

"Noting." He tried to brush past Snow. " I'm fine."

"Leveret!"

Bunny stilled his movements and turned to look at his alpha. His voice came out soft and strained completely unlike the confident mellow voice Snow had known all his life. "H-he bit me. He shouldn't have sharp teeth but he does a-and he bit me when I tried to touch him."

Snow pulled Bunny tightly against him as he began to sob. There was no doubt. They needed to do this. Their son would become a true monster and a threat to others if they didn't. Being a human was better than the horror lying in the crib.

He kissed Bunny softly and wiped his cheeks with his thumbs. "Get Eira and yourself ready. I'll get him together."

"Okay. Um...his outfit is on the changing table. It's something Ri-" he bit his lip. "Rico bought for him. A-and..."

Snow kissed him again. "Go. I'll figure it out."

Bunny nodded then picked Eira up out of the other crib. He looked over his shoulder one more time. Snow smiled sadly at him and nodded. He waited for them to leave then turned to the creature possessing his son's body.

The malevolent spirit smiled at him. Its sharp white teeth gleamed making Snow's wolf come to the surface enough to change his eye color.

"No matter what you do, we've won. The child will die," the demon said in triumph.

A scowl took over Snow's features. "Was that your only purpose?"

The little demon smiled playfully. "Mayyyybe."

Snow's hands balled into fists. To take the life of a child was just evil. What kind of supernatural or immortal had no regard for the preciousness of life? Especially the life of an innocent?  "Whether he dies or not isn't for you to say and even if he does, we are strong enough to bear it."

The demon snorted. "Are you sure? Your mate didn't look so good. I don't think he is taking this as well as you."

Snow grit his teeth together as he picked up the onesie and a fresh diaper. He set to work cleaning the demon-baby. The sooner they did this, the better. He was leaned over fastening the snaps on the onesie when a clawed hand came flying at his face. He pulled back just in time and glared down at the snarling infant.
