9/5- Had to fix a typo that made Snow appear to be Spanish. He's French.

That night, Bunny found himself uncomfortable and with a bad case of heartburn. He sat in the kitchen trying do drink some warm milk when Gaeus walked in. He smiled at the leader of the gargoyles and offered him a seat beside him.

The pregnant were wasn't sleeping at night since he started to show and had to be up all day. It had been a long tiring day. They spent the majority of the day at the shower socializing with their extended pack mates, friends, family and a new set of supernatural acquaintances. A few of the children even ended up finding out they were mates. Bunny desperately wanted sleep but only rubbed his stomach as the twins decided to play soccer.

Gaeus was pleasant enough. Highly inquisitive, he wasn't annoying. They spoke about Frost Moon's history and leadership tiers before settling into silence.

"It's an honor to have the leader of the gargoyles with us," Bunny said softly. "But why did you choose to come with us?"

Gaeus smiled. "I was intrigued. You are a lovely creature. I've never met an albino before. To know you have been discriminated against for your looks and that some of you albinos are even hunted for it, struck something within me. I guess I felt a connection."

He ran a hand through his dark hair. His eyes glazed over as if reliving his past. "We were created to protect humans. They loved us. We watched over them in the night while they slept, they watched over us during the day. We lived in harmony."

Fire burned in his memories.  "A new religion came. They began to fear us. Over time they began to call us dumb, ugly, lapdogs. We're highly intelligent but we're taught to be obedient so we don't say much."

Bunny shook his head. Werewolves were familiar with this sort of treatment. They too had been called dumb and lapdogs.

Gaeus eyes burned with fury. "We know what its like to be hated or persecuted for your looks. In fact, we were so feared and hated humans began destroying us when we were most vulnerable. They hunted us from our birthplace in Egypt to Europe until we were nearly extinct. We banded together and fled to the remote areas of the northern mountains. We've managed to coexist with the dragons."

Bunny touched his hand.  His heart went out to the over 1000 year old gargoyle.  "Unfortunately, humans haven't only hunted the gargoyles to extinction. They've hunted all supernaturals. Some like the mer and fairies for medicines, and their treasures. Others out of fear and hate like the werewolves, witches, and vampires."

"And gargoyles," Gaeus smiled.

Bunny smiled back. "And gargoyles."

Gaeus chuckled wryly.  "Yet we cant kill them off."

Bunny covered his laugh.  "Indeed we cant. Cuz we are all part human." Bunny rolled his eyes at the last part.  He stood and headed toward the living room.  "Let's watch a movie."

Snow came into the living room and smiled at the sight. Bunny was leaning against Gaeus snoring lightly with his hands on his stomach. Gaeus looked up nervously.  For most supernaturals, seeing your mate lying on another man was enough to start a war.

"I tried to wake him up but he's a hard one to wake," Gaeus said quickly.  As if to emphasize his point, he lightly shook the sleeping were but got a snort in response.

Snow knelt in front of his mate and tucked a golden curl behind Bunny's ear. "It's fine. Lev doesn't sleep much at night. The twins keep him up."
