~Kaitlynn’s Point of View~
Today’s the day I can finally go home from this God forsaken hospital. About everyone but Mike, if it wasn’t obvious already, visited me during the total of 5 days I’ve been here. Greg and Niall said they would not go back to Mum and Dad until they saw me back at Niall’s flat, meaning they don’t trust me on my own. Oh and the surgery, you ask? Well, like I told everyone, I wasn’t scared. The recovery is a bitch, but I didn’t care for the needles or anything. Why should I care about something when not even my own parents care about me?
Everyone seemed to [fortunately] forget that today’s my birthday. Actually, I was about to celebrate it for the 10th times in my life alone, and by ‘celebrate’ I mean going to watch some films on my computer, listen to some music, and paint. Happy birthday, me…
“Ready to leave?” Ash came to the room with a happy grin. I was sitting on the edge of my bed with my legs crossed and some annoying bandaging on my operated shoulder.
“I thought I was riding with Niall and Greg?” I said, though it came out as a question.
“Oh yeah, about that…” he said with an awkward smile. “They already left to London, so we’re gonna go now on a different flight. Everyone else left last night.”
“Oh.” I mumbled casually. I guess even with Greg’s promises that no matter what, he’ll always be there for me, he still didn’t even think to tell me. I think he and Niall might be on their way back to Mullingar already.
“So are you ready to leave?” he asked again.
“Yeah.”

“I think you missed the turn…” I said shyly when we were back on the familiar London streets, but noticed that Ash missed the turn to go back to the lads’ flat complex.
“I know, but we’re not going back yet.” He said excitedly.
“What? Why?”
“Because there’s something I still want to do and I figured you wouldn’t mind waiting another hour or so.” He replied cheekily.
“Yeah, sure. I don’t mind.” I mumbled uninterestedly. I know I shouldn’t be this cold, but why should I care when no one cares about this stupid birthday?
“We’re here!” Ash exclaimed happily once we reached some park in the middle of nowhere. “Oh and you might want this back.” He said with a smile and handed me the Australian flag heart necklace and the “best” bracelet. There was also a small note attached that looked like it was folded and unfolded many times before finally ending with the presents.
“Who’s it from?” I asked before removing it from the necklace it was attached to.
“I don’t know, but don’t read it now.” He said with a childish smirk. “Do you want me to put it on you?” he asked shyly.
