I'm actually sticking to my schedule which is surprising to me since it usually doesn't go that way for long but I'll try to stay caught up. Because of that, I binge wrote another chapter to put here right after the other one so...

Add had come back to visit her two more days after that. A majority of her memories were gone, but she was still able to remember most of the days she spent alone in the library thanks to Add's visits. She hadn't necessarily felt lonely because she was always forgetting that she was the only one there. The only thing that let her know how much time had really passed had been the marks on her arm that showed her age.

Now (y/n) was waiting for Add to come back again since it was yet another day. She found it fun to talk to him especially considering that the only other person she ever talked to was Echo because customers don't really count. And Add was a long time best friend that she didn't quite remember, so that was somewhat of a plus.

It wasn't until late afternoon when Add finally showed up. He seemed tired as if he hadn't had any sleep at all. "Finally decided to drop by I see," (y/n) said from behind the counter where she put up a mana potion that she'd just made.

"I came here for a reason." Add stayed at the door and waited for (y/n) to turn her full attention to him.

"And what reason would that be?" (y/n) asked as she looked at him.

"I'm leaving today," he stated rather bluntly. For a moment, (y/n) didn't say anything as she stared at him. "You're seriously leaving?"

"Yes. I was going to leave this morning, but I decided to say goodbye before going," Add said.

"What? But why are you leaving? There's no need for you to. The crowds in Elder aren't that bad, really they aren't," (y/n) reasoned.

"I have something important to me that I need to do, and staying in Elder won't help me accomplish that. I didn't even plan on staying here as long as I did, but then you showed up. You seem to be in a safe enough place, so I can leave without having to worry about anything," Add explained.

"Whatever it is that you're trying to do, why can't you do it here in Elder? Why do you have to leave?" She really didn't understand why Add was doing this.

"You wouldn't get it and you wouldn't remember why it matters so much anyway," Add replied in slight frustration. At the mention of her bad memory condition, (y/n) snapped at him.

"It isn't my fault that I can't remember anything! I don't know why I'm like that! I don't know why I'm so different from everyone else! And how would you know that I wouldn't understand if you don't even tell me anything!" (y/n) nearly yelled.

"Your psychic power is why you're like that. You don't have control over it," Add spoke. Even after being nearly yelled at, his expression didn't waver. It was still that plain old blank stare.

"What did you just say?" (y/n) asked. She wasn't quite sure of what she heard.

"The level of control over your psychic abilities isn't enough. You'll keep forgetting things if your control and knowledge of that power remains weak," Add said.

His words triggered a memory in (y/n)'s mind. "I don't know why he's always like that. He views me as weak because I'm not able to meet his standards," a white haired boy had spoken.

"But that shouldn't bother you that much. It isn't your fualt," (y/n) remembered saying.

"It still bothers me though. I don't know why, but it just does," the boy muttered. (Y/n) scowled at Add, deciding to push the memory aside.

"So that's what this is. You think I'm weak," she said. The salt hidden in her tone was enough to taint the purest of waters.

"I didn't mean it like that," Add quickly denied.

"Then what did you mean because it sounds to me like you think of me as a burden instead of your friend," (y/n) said.

"You aren't a burden. I promise you that. I just don't want you to worry if I don't come back. You'll be able to forget about me if I'm not around you shpuld I ever disappear. If I say here, you'll remember and you'll be stuck with that memory as well as all of the other bad ones that you still have somewhere," Add said as he turned to leave.

"Disappear? What exactly are you trying to do that's so dangerous?" (y/n) asked, but Add gave no reply. (Y/n) wasn't about to let him leave without explaining himself. She surrounded the door in the magenta aura that her psychic power created and kept it from opening. "You can't go until you tell me," she declared.

Add sighed and turned back to her. "I'm going to time travel to save my mother from that day in the past," Add reluctantly answered.

"You can time travel?" (y/n) womdered in awe.

"Not yet but I will be able to. I just need to figure out how which is why I can't stay here. Elder has nothing to offer me," Add explained before looking away from her. "And...I can't risk anything happening to you again..."

He seemed pretty sincereabout wanting her to be kept out of harm's way, but she was a bit stubborn and didn'twant him to simply disappearedafter just returning to her life. Not to mention the he may be forgotten if he left her behind. "Time travel huh. Then if this is your mission, then it's mine too. We're from the same time period right, so I'm going to help," (y/n) decided.

"You aren't going. You need to stay here where things are consistent and safe. You'll forget more often if you come with me, and I can'tgarunteeyour safety...not yet I can't," Add said. (Y/n) released the door from her psychic hold, but she wasn't done speaking yet.

"Stop saying that. I'm tired of people using my forgetfulness as a handicap. I'm going with you. If I forget, then I just forget. Besides, all I have to do is get better at using my psychic power just like you said. Then I wouldn't forget anymore," (y/n) said, smiling a little at the end of her short speech.

Add looked as if he still wanted to tell her no, but he met her gaze and made his decision. "Fine then. You can come with me, but you better not slow me down. And I'm not waiting for you to pack either," Add muttered.

"Joke's on you. We'll have to wait until Echo gets back anyway. I can't leave the shop unattended," (y/n) remarked.

"What makes you think I'm going to wait that long? You can't keep me here," Add said with his arms crossed.

"Oh I know I can't make you stay, but you wouldn't want to leave without all six of your dynamos now would you? I'm sure it took some time to craft each one. It would be a major setback to have to make another one," (y/n) innocently spoke.

She watched as Add checked his dynamos finding that one was indeed missing. "When did you-?"

"When you weren't paying attention to my psychic power anymore. There are two things that I know for sure that I can do with ease and one of them is hiding objects in plain sight," (y/n) explained, laughing a little as Add checked his dynamos again just to be sure.

"I really hate that power of yours," he mumbled.

"No you don't," (y/n) said. It was brief, but she saw him crack a smile before it vanished as if he were forcing himself to seem like he was upset about the ordeal.
