I think the usual point of view shifting is back to normal. I don't know yet. It might be consecutive at one point later on but for now, I'll leave it the way it is (also I was late with this chapter so I binge wrote another one to put right after this one).

(Y/n) never did figure out what had happened to her that day. After that, she stayed close to Add no matter what and she didn't forget him anymore at all. Her eyes never glowed red again, which Add had made sure to tell her about. She was very sensitive about the topic and preferred that Add not ask her about it because she didn't want another incident like it to arise again.

(Y/n) was now sixteen had gotten much better at using abilities now, yet she still forgot things every now and then. It wasn't often, but it still bothered her. Add taught her a little self defense for just in case after that incident happened. She never needed it sincr the two of them stayed out of trouble most of the time. They were near a place called Altera and would be entering the city the next day. For now, they stayed in an apartment that Add had rented for them for the past two months. He still hadn't come up with a succesful time travel equation yet, but he was always working on it.

He was currently sitting at his desk, pencil in hand as he scribbled several variations of the complex equation down. (Y/n) had just made him some coffee and sat it next to him without saying a word. She didn't need to ask if he wanted the coffee. He needed it whether he wanted it or not. Add had gone two entire days without sleep that week with this being the third day. He'd refused to let (y/n) use her psychic power to make him rest, which she respected, but that didn't stop her from worrying.

(Y/n) had things to do herself, so she left Add to his thinking and went to the small kitchen where she got various ingredients from the cabinets. She was still a very skilled alchemist. (Y/n) had decided to sell her potions as she traveled with Add. It served as good income since her potions went for high values even in rural markets.

She'd gotten a request for a case of basic mana potions. Mana potions were her expertise so she didn't decline the request especially after she was told how much she'd get paid for it. Usually, the people in the outer villages had to travel to main villages or cities like Elder or Altera for an alchemist. With (y/n) nearby, they didn't have to travel very far, so her buyers paid her more to show their gratitude. It took about an hour an a half to finish the entire case but when she was done, she went back to check on Add.

She returned to find his coffee cup completely drained, and he had started on the equation writing's final process. (Y/n) decided to read his mind to find out what exactly he was about to write down just to help him out a bit. She didn't know why, but she just wanted to, and it was a good thing that she did. He was about to make one of the hundreds of mistakes that he'd made before. She went over to him before he could write down what he was thinking and gently took hold of his wrist before guiding his hand to a different spot on the line of the equation. "You did that last time and it didn't work, remember. Don't make the same mistake again," she quietly spoke. Then she left the room to refill Add's coffee cup.

When she returned, Add was in the process of testing the equation for accuracy, so she didn't bother him. She set the refiled coffee cup down as quietly as she could which Add took immediately. (Y/n) almost laughed at this, but she wouldn't dare break his concentration. Instead, she found her way to her own desk on the other side of the room. There, she decided to read a few of the reports that Add wrote for her after analyzing her psychic ability thus far. He'd written them a while back, but (y/n) had never really gotten around to reading them all. She might as well read them since Add took the time to write them for her when he could have been working on the time travel equation.

It was unknown to her how much time had passed when she heard Add call her name. "(Y/n), come here for a second," he spoke.

"Hm? What?" (y/n) muttered as she stood and walked over to him

"Look at this," he urged, gesturing towards the time travel equation. She looked at it for a good minute before finally saying something.

"I don't get it. What am I supposed to see?" (y/n) said, slightly confused. Add stood up, picking up the paper that the time travel equation was written down on. He turned to face her with what seemed to be a slight smile. "It works," he simply said.

(Y/n) had to process what he said for a few seconds because they'd both been waiting for the day that the time travel equation would work. When it finally clicked, she didn'treally know how to react at first. "You did it...Add, you actually did it!" (y/n) said excitedly.

Add smirked at her. And was that a glimmer of happiness that (y/n) saw in his eyes? Then he hugged her, the action catching her by surprise for a moment. "Yeah, I did didn't I. But I had a little help from you too you know," he whispered into her ear. He nuzzled his head against her to show his gratitude.

"What are we going to do with the equation now that you know it's right?" (y/n) asked when he released her. She saw his happiness diminishing a little.

"I can't use it quite yet. I'll have to implement the equation into my dynamos, but I need the right material. It can't just be anything so we'll have to start traveling again." He seemed a little upset over it but only briefly.

"That's okay. If that's what we have to do then we'll do it. But before you start stressing yourself out again, you need a break. Come on, we need to celebrate this somehow and you can't say no," (y/n) said with smile.

"No, not now," Add immediately said.

"Wha- but I just said you couldn't say no," (y/n) whined as she watched Add walk out of the room. She followed after him as he left.

"I don't want to do anything right now, (y/n). I'm tired," he reasoned as he glanced back at her in apology.

"Oh...okay. You do need to sleep," (y/n) said as she watched Add walk to his room and shut the door behind him. She sighed and went to his door. "When you wake up, can we do something then?" (y/n) asked through the door. There was no answer. Add was probably already asleep. "You're always too busy to do anything nowadays, but as long as you're happy, so am I. I couldn't ask for a better friend," (y/n) said to herself. Then she left Add's door and returned to her desk where she continued to read Add's written reports. She couldn't help but feel slightly sadned although she knew that Add couldn't keep going without sleep like he did. Coffee could only take him so far. "Why does it bother me so much when he does things like that?"
