So when I wrote this author's note, I don't really know what I was thinking but here's the next chapter anyway.
____________________________________All Add could tell at the moment was that he was warm and comfortable where he was. He then remembered that he had coordinates to figure out and had fallen asleep in the process. "...(y/n)? How come you didn't wake me up?" Add muttered without even opening his eyes. She was always nearby whenever he accidentally fell asleep at his desk, but he didn't seem like he was at his desk.
"You wake up from a thirteen hour nap and the first thing you ask is 'how come you didn't wake me up'. That's pitiful," a voice that Add recognized said. He immediately snapped his eyes open and examined his surroundings. Esper was indeed there, sitting on his dynamos as if he lived there and did that often. Add also noticed that he was in his room when he was sure he had been at his desk. Then he noticed that his eyepatch was gone and took a quick glance around the room for it.
"Looking for this?" Esper asked, now holding the eyepatch that Add was once wearing. He didn't give him time to answer. "You don't need it anymore. (Y/n)'s gone so there's no need for it," Esper decided as he tossed the eyepatch aside.
"What did you do to her?" Add growled. He realized that he didn't have his dynamos but he wasn't going to let that stop him from attacking Esper.
"At this point, you shouldn't even have to ask me that, but I didn't do anything this time. She was gone before I got here," Esper said with a shrug.
"Then where is she?" Add asked with worry unwillingly making it's way into his tone.
"How the hell would I know? You're supposed to be looking after her not me," Esper muttered.
"She can look after herself but...if she isn't here, why are you here?" Esper's appearance was unnecessary if (y/n) wasn't around.
"I was supposed to kill her, but she wasn't here and since you don't know where she is either, then I won't know. What did you do? Scare her away or something?" Esper said, his head tilted in curiosity as he awaited Add's answer.
"She was just here. She couldn't have just disappeared like that. Wait a second...why should I be trying to find her with you here. You're just going to try killing her again." The fact that Add was even having this conversation with Esper was already odd enough.
"Hm? I don't need to kill her anymore. It's too late for that. For my plan to have succeeded, she needed to die as soon as I showed up. I missed my opportunity already," Esper mused.
"That doesn't explain why you're still here," Add pointed out. He got up from his bed and was about to head out of his room.
"Where do you think you're going? We aren't done talking yet," Esper said.
"I think we are. I have someone to go find," Add snapped, but when he walked forwards, Esper was suddenly there in front of him.
"You can't seriously be thinking about going after her are you? There's no reason for you to. You don't need her," Esper said with a hand on Add's shoulder.
"Why should I listen to you? You tried killing my only friend," Add spat.
"I know what happens in the future, and I know that what you're letting yourself feel is nothing but a weakness," Esper said as he gave Add a pretty serious look.
"So what? The future can change. I have to find her." Add was adamant about that.
"No, you don't. You want to find her but you don't need to find her. She's only a friend that was convenient to keep around. Yes, she was very amusing at times, but your main priority is saving mother. It has always been and always will be your main priority."
"(Y/n) is more than just a friend to me. You wouldn't understand that though," Add muttered. Esper pushed him when he said that.
"Again with the things that make you weak! You don't love her! You're lying to yourself! And do you really think she cares about you? If she really was your friend, she wouldn't have abandoned you. Where do you think she is now? Gone! She saw your weakness and left you for it!" Esper snapped. Add just stared at Esper for a moment before actually replying to him.
"You say that love is a weakness and yet you, no we haven't given up on saving mother because of that very thing you call a weakness. I'm starting to think that you're denying my feelings because you're afraid of them," Add said. Esper suddenly laughed at him.
"Afraid? You and I both know that there's only one thing in this entire world that truly scares us. Go save you're friend, but I won't be there to help you when she tries to kill you in the future," Esper stated. Add stayed right where he was and looked at him in confusion. Had Esper seriously just said that (y/n) would kill him?
"Do you honestly expect me to believe that nonsense. (Y/n) would never even try to harm me on accident."
"It's true. The reason that I've been trying to kill her here in the past is because she tries to kill us in the future and would have succeeded if I hadn't killed her instead. Her death is inevitable. I've tried stopping it too many times to deny the truth. I came up with a seemingly logical reason as to why I was going to kill her here in the past, but since my true intentions are revealed why not tell the while story," Esper spoke.
"No, stop. I don't want to hear any more of your lies," Add hissed.
"Listen to me. If you leave her where she is now, wherever that may be, she might not die because you won't be around to kill her. If you go after her now, you're guaranteeing her death. You don't want that and neither do I," Esper said rather calmly.
"I don't care. I can't just let her go like that," Add said. "I'm not ready to do that nor will I ever be."
"You have no choice. Besides, you're trapped in here until I let you out. We can stay in this room forever if it takes me that long to convince you that you don't need her. Time doesn't apply to this void and we'll just return to the same time that it was when I created it. It's up to you how long you stay in here," Esper said as he glared at Add who glared back.
