And here enters a new perspective on things. Don't know what I'm talking about? Well read on to find out!
____________________________________Esper hadn't expected this to happen. This time when he traveled back in time, (y/n) was nowhere to be found. Esper had checked the whole house and as far as he remembered, (y/n) was supposed to be there. The only person there other than himself was...well himself. He hated that he couldn't remember anything within the delay of time that naturally occurred between his memories and his younger self's memories.
When Esper first found Add asleep at his desk, he wondered if the boy knew where (y/n) really was and was just faking. He now knew of her ability to see into the future with her psychic power, so it could have been possible that she knew he'd show up and had attempted to foil his plans again. This convinced him to search the home again just to be sure. The second time Esper saw his younger self asleep, he knew for a fact that Add knew not of (y/n)'s whereabouts. On the second time, he'd noticed the music box's tune, a sound that he'd tried not to hear ever since (y/n)'s death. It hadn't been playing when she had died, but it still reminded him of her.
Esper had checked the home a third time just to be sure. (Y/n) wasn't there at all, and he didn't want to ruin his younger self's seemingly peaceful sleep. Esper couldn't exactly remember the last time he'd had a peaceful sleep. Seeing his younger self have one gave him enough reason to leave Add alone, and let (y/n) keep giving him peaceful sleeps because it was likely that she had caused the one Add was in now. As much as he wanted to, Esper couldn't just do that. He needed to complete his self given mission no matter what. (Y/n) had to die now. It was his last chance to get rid of her before he'd have to suffer losing her anyway.
The thing is, in the future that he remembered, he also killed (y/n) there as well. The reason being that she had been trying to kill him too. With her eyes glowing red and her psychic power on a completely unstable level, she had tried to kill him for whatever reason. Esper hadn't wanted to kill her, but he had no choice. He tried reasoning with her as she choked the life out of him, but nothing he said or even strained to say got through to her. His only choice was to attack her with his dynamos. Killing her was one of the worst things that he'd ever done in his entire life. The emptiness and pain that he'd felt from losing her was unbearable, so he thought of some way to get rid of it.
Esper had tried going back in time and stopping her from going red eyed and unstable, but that hadn't worked the hundreds of times that he tried. He never knew what it's cause was and he'd even asked her about it during several time travel attempts before the event happened. After almost reaching his thousandth attempt, Epser had reasoned that if (y/n)'s death was inevitable, then he'd have to make it happen sooner so that he could get rid of the emptiness and pain much faster. If she disappeared sooner, he'd recover faster and be able to go back to saving his mother.
Now that he had no idea where (y/n) was, he couldn't proceed with his plan and the only thing he could think of doing was warning his younger self of (y/n)'s unavoidable death. But he couldn't just wake Add up in the middle of a peaceful sleep that would probably never come to him again. Instead, he knelt down next to his sleeping self and examined him. Nothing about him was different than when Esper was younger at all. He didn't need Add attacking him when he woke up though, so he needed to do something about that.
Esper carefully lifted Add from his chair and pulled the boy closer to him so that he wouldn't fall. Add's sleep didn't falter even for a second despite him being moved. "Too late to break that habit I see," Esper muttered, referring to his habit of not sleeping like a normal person should. It was clear to see that Add was too tired to be broken out of his sleep. Esper took Add to his room and put him on his bed. Afterwards, he closed the room off from the rest of time and space, creating a sort of void.
Without dynamos, Add couldn't attack him as effectively as he might want to when he wakes up. That would give Esper the opportunity to tell him everything that Add needed to know without compromising any time. He would have thought more about what he'd do when his youngerself woke up if it hadn't been for his memories changing again.
The full events of what happened two weeks ago was replaying differently in Esper's mind. In the past he used to remember, (y/n) had been so suspicious about the door being unlocked that she had left the house and searched for him elsewhere. Because of that, he had been alone and very much so suffering from the pain that his newly tainted eye had given him. (Y/n) hadn't gotten back until later but by then, Esper had found a way to ignore the pain and had already covered the eye with an eyepatch. Now he remembered something completely different. The emotions seemed out of place in his memory. Comfort. Gratefulness. Care. Love. All of these things wove their way into Esper's thinking and clouded out the painful memory of what used to be one of his worst days.
Esper looked at his younger self with curiosity as he slept. (Y/n) was changing him. Well, she was changing what he would become. Esper's own way of thinking was being altered as he thought more of the things in his past that changed thanks to (y/n). Along with that change in thought came the change in feelings as well.
The Add that Esper used to be didn't love (y/n) and had only viewed her as nothing more than a necessary friend even after she had been killed, but this Add was different. Add did love (y/n) and although he could keep going without her, Esper could tell that he didn't want to. With this in mind, Esper prepared for a possible fight. Add wouldn't be listening to him for very long. The moment he finds out about (y/n)'s disappearance, there would likely be conflict.
