verb
1. have an intense feeling of longing for somethingEver since the android revolution, your older sibling brought home an android, an RK800 android to be specific. When you first met him, he introduced himself as Connor, a detective android who had become deviant. He shook your hand, stating that he was your sibling's boyfriend, which confused you beyond compare - why would they date a robot? Whatever, it wasn't your business to get into their relationships. At least this boyfriend was caring.
However, ever since the first day, Connor questioned as to why you never opened up your mouth to talk to him. He had read that children are often full of questions, throwing them left and right; however, you were the complete opposite. You never said anything, at all, whatsoever.
He would even make the effort to speak to you, asking you how school was, attempting to help you with homework, everything in the book. He would ask your sibling why you never spoke to him, begging for information, and was shocked when they told him you were just shy.
"Connor, they speak highly of you, always asking me to tell you 'thank you' for helping with their homework. Their grades have been getting a lot better."
This warmed him, knowing you weren't scared of him, just scared of speaking. He was a determined little android, determined to make you talk to him at least once.
You sat on the couch, watching your favorite cartoons, the scent of fresh baked cookies immediately flooding your nostrils as the front door opened. Expecting to see your sibling, you leaped over the back of the sofa, eyes wide with anticipation. Alas, it was just Connor. With a sigh, you trudge back to the couch, flopping back onto the cushions.
"Hey kiddo, I brought you some cookies!" As soon as the word 'you' left the android's mouth, you leaped back up, dashing over to the brown-eyed boy. Your face read it all, Connor wasn't stupid, you desperately wanted those cookies.
"You want one," you nodded, looking up at him with your glittering irises, "hmm, I assume I can give you a few, under one condition." With the mention of this, you furrowed your brow and crooked your head.
"You have to say 'please' and 'thank you', okay?"
He wanted to start off with baby steps, making sure not to overstep any boundaries. Reaching into the bag, he pulled out one cookie, "And you say?"
Your lips pressed into a fine line and sweat began to bead at your forehead, "Uh...p-please, may I have a cookie?" You rocked back and forth on your heels, directing your gaze onto your shoes as your fingers twiddled with one another.
"You may," he sounded way too enthusiastic for such a small thing, but you took note of this. He reminded you of a small puppy, minus the excited pee that comes with it, you prayed Connor wouldn't go that far. "Another one?"
"Yes please," he handed you the other cookie, watching you scarf down one after another. He hummed, tapping his chin, mentioning that you were forgetting something, "A-Ah, thank you, Connor."
Your cheeks lit up into a darker shade, signaling how embarrassed you were, but it wasn't so bad to talk to Connor, especially after seeing how happy and giddy he got after you spoke his name. Plus cookies. He gave you cookies.
A/N: OOF THIS IS KINDA BAD BUT I KINDA LIKE IT FOR SOME REASON?? I HOPE YOU LIKE IT THOUGH!
