Run With Me [Kara x Child!Reader]

"Stupid fucking machine!" You heard the loud outburst of you father and the collapsing of a kitchen cabinet. This type of happening was common ever since he started red ice a year ago. His wild temper would get so out of hand he would often reflect his anger onto you. Nothing major ever happened, but the more and more he huffed, the more and more you became nervous. 

"I hate androids and what did I go and do? Buy myself one!"

"Sir, I suggest you calm down, your blood pressure is really high. It is possible you could enter cardiac arres-"

"Shut up!" Crash. "Nothing but a thorn in my ass!" Bang. "Good for nothing piece of shit!" Boom.

Suddenly...silence and then shuffling followed by your name. "Please get down here!" You dashed down the stairs and screamed as you saw your father lie motionless in the kitchen, blood pooling around his head. "Kara, what happened?" You crouched down to your father's side, lightly smacking his face to get a response. 

"H-He was hitting me, slamming me against the kitchen counters. His blood pressure was getting really high. I-I...I tried advising him to calm down and he just beat me more, then he went down into cardiac arrest, bashing his head against the table." 

Your wide eyes looked up at Kara, her face looked flawless, as if she hadn't been beaten at all, but you knew she was. This happened all the time. "Kara, did you call the police and ambulance?" 

She nods hesitantly, "Why? Should I...not have?" You stood up and dragged Kara to her feet, shaking her arms violently. "Kara! You have to run, they would think you did this! You have to run! You can't be torn apart!" 

Pushing Kara towards the backdoor, she froze in spot, grabbing you into a tight hug, "I can't leave you! You're just a child! You need someone. I need you!" 

You shook your head, trying to pull away from her grasp as you heard police sirens whirling nearby. Fear spread all through your body, "Kara!"

"Run with me!" She screamed, holding your arms and shaking them slightly. The sirens grew closer and closer by the minute. You snatched away from her grip and ran back to your father, planting a small kiss on his forehead, "Goodbye dad." You unlocked the front door and ran back to Alice, grabbing her delicate hand in your tiny hand. 

"Come on Kara, we have to go!" You ran in front of her, dragging her through the dense grass of the backyard and ushering her over the fence where she helped you over. 

This was it. You two were on the run.
