[REQUESTED]

Had it not been for the swirling blue LED that was particularly placed on your right temple, Detective Reed would have never imagined the person he was attempting to swoon was an android. What at first appeared as libido and longing soon turned into quash and detachment. The man that was just clinging to you, caught on every word you spoke, was shoving you away from him, disgust evident on his facial features. Yet none of it bothered you, after all, you were designed to accommodate the police force and practically be ignorant to everything other than your task - find the reason behind deviancy.

You had been sent, along with another RK800 android, Connor, to the Detroit City Police Department (DCPD) to help the investigation of deviants. They had began to pop up slowly across the large city of Detroit, often partaking in some rather illegal and taboo crimes. That's where you and Connor came in, solving the deviancy issue one android at a time. However, while the brown-haired male accompanied a older, much wiser detective, you got stuck with the vexatious Detective Reed.

The first case

The first case. Wasn't anything too special, just another deviant android who went haywire and murdered their owner. This was the first time Detective Reed actually acknowledged your capabilities. As you stooped down to the victim's body, your fingers swiping across the wooden floors to retract the blue blood past your lips, the male slapped you upside your head, cursing at your confused face, "That's fucking disgusting, don't put the evidence in your mouth."

"My apologies, Detective Reed, I was just scan-"

"I don't care what you were doing, that's fucking gross. Stop it."

Your LED spun yellow as you nod, "I apologize, Detective." The male rolled his eyes as he continued to snoop around the scene, his eyes running over evidence and the overall deteriorate state of the house. You had to admit, had it not been for his lousy attitude, you could see a friendship of some sort.

Following behind Gavin, you scanned everywhere, looking for any minute details the humans may have skipped over. Eyes connecting with something gleaming in the distance, you glance from the shining object to your partner, almost scared to move away from him, but you did. Your fingers gripped around the handle of the knife, stained crimson red with blood, "Detective Reed, it appears I have found the murder weapon!" Your voice, smooth as velvet, echoed through the house, catching the brunette off guard. He stalked over and again, smacked you upside your head. "Don't pick up the weapon, you'll get finger prints all over it!"

"Actually, androids do not have finger prints. Which is why there are already none on the handle to begin with. However, there appears to be blue blood. The exact same as there was near the body," you broke eye contact from him and ran them over the area, reconstructing what must've happened, "I have a general idea of what may have happened."

When he said nothing back, you spoke back up, "I am almost certain that the android was defending itself out of self defense. The scuffle took place in the living room. The android was cleaning when the victim decided to test his luck. Having enough, the android fled to the kitchen, grabbing a knife. The victim-"

Gavin cut you off, finishing off what you were going to say, "Followed it and ended up with a blade to the gut. Horny bastard." He finished his statement off with a slight chuckle before gesturing to the knife, "What about the knife? How did it get here?"

You nod, smiling at the fact he allowed you to speak, "The deviant threw it down as they fled, cutting its hand in the process, hence the blue blood. The path follows right to the basement." As if on cue, Gavin pulled his gun and dashed to the basement, flinging open the door and vanishing down the stairs. You quickly followed in pursuit, eyes adjusting to the darkness immediately. Spotting a red glow from the corner of your eye, you pull your gun and aim it, "Come out!" Hesitantly, a scared AX400 emerged, its hands raised.

The second case

The second case. This one was monumental in the fact that Gavin recognized you more. He often asked you to run samples, even if he was still grossed out by the fact you had to stick it on your tongue, and depending on you to see things he couldn't. In a sense, you grew closer to him. He didn't smack you upside the head this time, but rather smacked you on the shoulder, congratulating you on finding the second deviant.

The third case. Gavin stopped referring to you as an 'it', instead calling you by your name and using proper pronouns. It made you feel something other than friendly with the male. You could've sworn that after the case was solved, you saw him wink in your direction. Rather than a shoulder slap, he slung an arm around you in a lazy hug. It was comforting really.

The fourth case. It was different from any case, as it took several days to actually solve. It also was the first case that made you act quickly - go after the deviant or save Gavin's life. As much as it went against your initial programming, your feelings for the detective had seemingly grown much more than at the basic friendship level. You could have very easily jumped for the android, shooting it right between the eyes, but you leaped in front of the bullet that grazed towards your partner. The flying projectile struck your Thirium pump regulator, leaving your body to slump to the ground as your LED spun red, your eyes looking up at the brown orbs of your partner, wide with horror and full of confusion. He looked down at you before narrowing his eyes, and with a swift kick of his leg, delivered a blow to your side, "Stupid fucking android. You're vital for this investigation and you went and got yourself killed. Thanks for saving my life though." And he walked off, not even batting another eyelash in your direction.

You strutted back into the department, settling yourself down into the chair across from Reed's desk

You strutted back into the department, settling yourself down into the chair across from Reed's desk. Despite being shot and practically killed yesterday, you were back as if nothing had ever happened. With a new body, you still held everything your prior model had - memories, feelings, and relationships. After the happenings that took place, you were sure Gavin would be back to normal, as he didn't seem nearly as empathetic as you would have liked him to be after taking a bullet for him.

"Great. Right when I thought I finally got rid of you, I have to deal with a brand new one," Detective Reed scoffed, plopping down into his chair and glaring daggers into your synthetic skull, "so, are you stupid like the first one or what?"

"Actually, Detective Reed, I hold the same memories as my predecessor," you smile at him, as if to say you were the exact same as before; however, all you get is another cold glance from the detective. It was as if you were back to the beginning.
