Being the offspring of Zlatko was...interesting to say the least. Every so often, a new wondering deviant would knock on the door only to be completely played by your father. It's something that would keep you up at night, the constant noise erupting from the basement, a place your father warned you about lurking in. Being small and naive, you listened to him. You never dared to venture down the concrete stairs and take a gander at this experiments. He called them 'monsters'.
"Daddy, I'm home!" You screamed, bursting through the door after school, your tiny backpack bouncing on your back. Luther greeted you, his large frame hugging your smaller one. He led you to the table, pulling out your chair before pushing you back in. You grabbed your homework from your backpack and placed it on the table, beaming up at Luther as he took a seat next to you. "So today, my teacher gave us math homework," you groaned loudly, taking your pencil in your hand, "lucky for me, I have the smartest friend alive to help me!"
Luther chuckled, ruffling your hair slightly before leaning closer to look at the math problems listed on the homework. Footsteps rang from behind you both as a pale hand slammed on the table next to you, causing you to jump with a small squeak. "Oh, papa." You smiled softly at him, but he glared daggers into your skull.
"What have I said about calling Luther your 'friend'? He can't be your friend, he's a fucking android!" His voice grew harsh as he jabbed a finger into your chest. Your eyebrows furrowed out of confusion and slight pain from where he was pushing the tip of his index finger into your breast bone.
"B-But Luther is my friend." Your tiny voice was breathy, full of fear. Usually, you wouldn't argue back to your dad, but even if Luther was an android, he could surely be your friend. Right?
Zlatko's hand raised up as a stinging blow knocked you from your chair. Your cheek welted up, red and aching. Tears brimmed on your waterline as you jumped up, rushing out of the room. If you ran to your room, he would know where you were. You needed somewhere he wouldn't check for a while. Out of quick thought, you dashed for the basement, being sure to keep your footsteps quiet against the solid flooring.
You fiddled with the lock of one of the cages, slipping inside and closing it behind you. It was dark and eerie, slight noises bustling around you. You clamped your eyes shut as tight as possible and continued to push further into the stall until your chest bumped into something. Hesitantly opening your eyes, you come face to face with one of your dad's creations. It's too dark to really make out what it looks like, but you're soon surrounded by frightening androids.
You were scared, but not too much so to scream out in fear. The androids listened to everything happening upstairs and used their bodies to block you from Zlatko's eyes. Footsteps grew closer resulting in you shrinking in size to hide better. However, the stall opened and Luther appeared. You rush to him, wrapping your arms around him, shaking in fear.
"Luther, please don't let my dad get me. He's really angry." He nodded, grabbing your hand in his much larger one. He led you out of the stall, leaving it open for the other androids, and up the basement stairs. Your father could be heard yelling your name upstairs, slamming doors and cursing.
Luther ushered you into the living room and soon out the back door. You looked back behind you, seeing the androids slowly following you. Eyes widening, you could finally see what your father had done to them. Your hatred for him grew more and more as one android after another emerged from behind the wall. Why did he do this to him? Why so many of them?
"What are we going to do? We're homeless, Luther. We ran away from home." Your body shook as the cold rain continued to pour over your helpless self. Luther seemed unbothered, which worried you more than your rumbling stomach.
"We'll be okay. We'll continue to be okay. All this will pass eventually, just be strong little one." He smiled gently and ruffled your hair. He knew it comforted you, and from this point on it was his job to care for you.
