chapter 33 || 033
'in which she stays'
I'm staying in the Andrew's attic.
And it is dusty as hell.
At least I had a airbed and some sheets. This is totally better than sleeping on random couches. Case de Andrews isn't looking too bad right now.
-
The younger serpents met at Pop's dinner that morning for a multitude of reasons. They had to talk about Bellamy/Diana, what they missed, what they could have done. Also about the news report that ratted out all her crimes. Everyone in town knew who she really was now and all her dirty laundry.
Sweet Pea and Fangs sat opposite from Jughead and Toni.
"I just can't believe she was under that amount of pressure. I mean she didn't show it at all." Fangs whispered to the rest of the group. Even though everyone in town had caught word of the whole thing. "I'm gonna miss her."
At that moment Jughead sighed.
"I feel bad that she has to go and become something she doesn't want in order to stay alive. Especially after all that she did to get here." He shook his head at the mere thought of it. He had grown attached to the girl in the short amount of time they had together. She was like a weird sister to him.
Sweet Pea didn't add anything into the conversation yet. He was still thinking about that night after her initiation. She had just danced her way into the gang and he found the picture of her family. Her Mother, father and her.
She didn't bring it up ever.
She lied about being a princess. She lied about her name.
The bell on the front door chimed as a girl walked in and they all turned their heads to see who it was. She was unfamiliar to all four of them which only meant one thing. Newbie.
Her hair was straightened out and she looked like she was wearing something a Northside would wear. Maybe she was a Northsider.
The four watched as she looked around the dinner for a few seconds before her eyes landed on all of them. That's when she walked right up to their booth and stood in front of them with a stone hard face.
"I need to speak with Bellamy." She barked at them but they didn't answer her. They all looked at each other in bewilderment and sadness. "Are you all not friends with her? I was told she was seen with you."
Toni piped up. "She left town. What do you want with her?" All of them in the booth looked up at the girl who held herself very highly.
She had her hands clasped together and her back was as straight as a needle. Her hair was perfect- not a strand out of place. And her clothes? She looked like she just stepped out of a high end magazine.
There was no way she was a Northsider. She looked more like one of the pristine New Yorkers that Veronica Lodge could be friends with.
"To help her out."
-
A knock coming from the front door startled me. I can't answer the front door. Mr.Andrews said not to even leave the upstairs part of the house. Of course I could use the bathroom but everything else would have to wait.
Fred brought me some snacks to keep me full until he was able to be home. And also Ms. Andrews said that she'd be by today to help me with a more safer place for me to crash. So I just had to wait.
The knocking didn't stop until the Andrew's dog started barking.
I wonder who was at the door. And that's about all I'm gonna do because I cannot afford to screw this up.
-
"What the hell do you mean she's going to take the throne?! She'd never even last a second-" The girl cursed under her breath and began to crack her fingers.
The group looked at her in pure confusion.
"How do you know Bellamy?" Jughead asked her and she finally stopped with her panicking and overthinking for a second to actually focus on the snakes in front of her. They weren't what she was used to that's for sure.
She shook her head at first. "That does not matter," She pulled a napkin from the container and dove into her bag to retrieve a pen. The girl scribbled something hastily while speaking. "If any of you get a call from her or see her please reach out."
And before any of them could ask the girl anymore she left without another word.
Jughead slid the piece of napkin over and looked over the writing.
'Ravyn
xxx-xxx-xxxx'
-
The five knock code I created with Mr.Andrews came from the door and I walked over to the door to unlock it. When I opened it there he stood with a bag of Pop's.
"Time for a break, come on kid."
-
Ravyn sat in the parking lot of the diner and dialed up the number she had saved from a long time ago and listened to the dial tone. It rang for several seconds until it picked up. There was no voice on the other side of the call.
"Relax it's me." She spoke softly inside her car.
The person on the other side of the phone sighed with relief.
"Did you find her?" They asked her and Ravyn had to snicker at that. She and Bellamy were not sisters in any sense other than the legal one. And even to that point only Ravyn new about Bellamy and not vice versa.
Ravyn looked out the front window and at the kids she had talked to before from inside revving up their motorcycles. "Don't worry, I'll find your bastard daddy. Believe me we both need her gone."
