chapter -5.5

I watched as Sweet Pea took his shot at the pool table. We were debating on whether or not to wear our jackets to school tomorrow. I mean I was fine with not wearing it- it didn't define me. But for the true serpents it was their skins. 

Toni nudged my side which made me pay attention to her.

"Diana what do you wanna do for tomorrow?" She asked as she wiped down the bar table. I would have thought this place was clean already but she's proving me wrong. This place really collects dirt within a matter of seconds.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I wanna go to school but I don't wanna go alone if you guys don't go. Whatever you do Toni I'll back you a hundred percent." She was my first girl friend that I felt really connected to. That I would mind leaving behind.

"I'll wear that uniform and shove it in their pretty little faces that we're here to stay." She smirked and I nodded at her. She probably just wanted to go to a good school too but wouldn't say it out loud. 

Toni walked behind the bar and started re-arranging things underneath the bar counter. So I looked around the bar and saw Fangs and Sweet Pea finishing up their game.

I get out of the stool and walk over to their pool table.

"Hey princess what brings you over here?" Sweet Pea asks- but he's using the stupid nickname and I know it's just to get under my skin but he's really gonna earn a punch. 

I roll my eyes at him and place my attention on Fangs. "Are you two wearing the uniforms tomorrow or no?" I cut to the chase as I crossed my arms over my chest. I wonder if these two meatheads were willing to see past the jackets.

"I'm willing to do it just to get an education." Sweet Pea answered surprisingly and I turned around to face him with a shocked face on. He smirks at me as I try to change my face back to it's resting position. "Why the look?"

I shrugged again. "Just didn't peg you as that kind of guy. The more I know."

"I'm not sure yet." Fangs sounded and I couldn't help the look of shock on my face again. Did they switch bodies or something? I could have sworn that Fangs would have put up with the uniform just to go to a good school. 

"I guess I've got more to figure out about you guys then."
