'You've been waiting'

"Diana? You up there?" Reggie's voice startled me from my sleep. I was still in the attic after the news. FP said he didn't want me to be too quick at coming back out of hiding just as a precaution. But I did get to leave the attic.

I shuffled my way out of bed and to the door and opened it. 

There he was, in all his bulldog glory.

"I'm still supposed to be laying low. What are you doing here?" I asked him in a whisper and he just invites himself in like he owns the place.

"When you resurface I need you to be careful around this sister of yours. I've been trying to get a read on her but she's very secretive." He admits to me and I nod along to his every word. I mean I'm not gonna talk to her. Seeing as I didn't have a sister before and I don't want one now.

"Don't worry Reggie. I'll be careful. But you better be careful too and get home. It's kind of late."

Ravyn watched as Reggie went into the Andrew's home with the sun starting to rise behind it. Something about it was off to her. Why would he be here so early? What did he want?

She looked up at a shadow coming from the top floor of the house. It had its own separate window- an attic. And the faint silhouette of someone standing just for a moment graced her eyes.

"I think it's time to end this."

The day started normal again. Even though Diana had gotten her freedom she hadn't showed up to school yet. She hadn't showed her face in town at all since the case. The serpents were staring to think that maybe she wasn't coming back to the small town.

It was now lunch time and everyone was antsy. What if she'd just show up during a random period? What if she was already here? Some of these thoughts were whispered around the cafeteria and were jumping around in Fang's head.

"So what if the serpent slut got free? Still doesn't change the fact that that guy will still probably go after her." Dilton laughed and spoke boldly to a girl who had her hand balled up into fists at her sides.

"Shut up Dilton! She is worth more than a single hair on your head! When she comes back I hope she beats your ass." The girl snarled back at him. Before she drenched him in the apple juice that was in his hands.

Dilton was soaked. And Fangs was proud.

FP and Jughead called the serpents to Pop's. Not an ideal gang meet up location but it would suffice since Veronica was the owner now. Apparently there was something important to go over. 

Everyone got there on serpent time and were taking up several booths. The northsiders who wanted to stay were familiar faces like Reggie, Betty and Veronica. Maybe they all caught onto the feeling the serpents were having.

Diana was coming back.

Sweet Pea was packed into a booth with Fangs, Toni, Cheryl and Jughead. Their booth was silent as a library. None of them wanted to say it out loud in fear that they'd jinx it. Maybe they were hoping too much for this.
