"Tara na?"

I was looking at my own reflection when a voice from behind me interrupted my time with myself. Nilingon ko ito at binigyan ng maliit na ngiti na hindi umabot sa mga mata ko. I should be happy today because I'm finally gonna leave this chapter of my life and go to the next.

"Yeah," Ani ko.

Hinatak na ni Ianthe ang kamay ko hanggang sa makalabas kami ng bahay niya. Months had passed and our friendship's getting stronger again.

Aira's standing outside her car while chewing some gum. She took her sunglasses off when she saw us and smiled sweetly bago kami sinalibong at hinalikan sa pisnge. "Congratulations, guys." She chuckled.

Ngumiti lamang ako ng matipid havang si Ianthe ay tumawa.

"Save that for later, Aira. Hindi pa nga kami nakaka-akyat sa stage at nagawa ang speech namin." Ani ni Aira.

Napairap na lang sa hangin si Aira. "Doon rin naman ang punta niyo mga tangina 'to. 'Di kasi kayo advance mag-isip like me na unicorn na maganda pa." She then flipped her hair that made us laugh. "O, tara na't bala ma late pa kayo. Ako pa sisihin nina tito at tita." She was pertaining to Ianthe's parents.

I bitter smile creeped on my lips. It saddens me that none of my parents would be attending this special day of mine.

"Huwag ka na diyang malungkot, Moira. Nandito naman ako. Ako nga di'ba abg aakyat para sa'yo? Ayaw mo noon? Bumata at gumanda ang nanay mo?" She joked but it didn't change my mood.

It was true, siya ang aakyat para sa'kin sa stage. She'll be my parent for this day. Wala naman akong reklamo doon dahil pamilya na ang turing ko kay Aira noon pa man.

"Let's gurabels na mga friends!" Sigaw ni Aira at pinagbuksan kami ng pintuan ng sasakyan niya.

She drove us to our school safely. Many graduating students and proud parents were surrounding the school, it's either inside or outside, the campus' parking spaces are full with luxurious cars but I don't care.

"Tara na sa loob at ng maka-upo na ako. Kanina pa nangangalay ang mga fats ko so kung pwede, paupuin niyo na ako sa designated seat na para sa'kin." 'Tsaka siya umirap sa hangin at nauna ng pumasok sa loob.

Nakangiti naman kaming sumunod sakanya ni Ianthe. We walked confidently habang tinatahak namin ang daan papunta sa gaganapan ng graduation namin. The people around us were staring boldly without even inverting their eyes. Can't blame them, me and Ianthe will have the tables and spotlights later.

"Good day, Miss Villarosa, Miss Kingsley," a voice not far from where we are standing greeted us but I didn't mind looking back to that person. Tsk, panira ng araw!

"Good morning po, Mr. Ruegan." Ianthe greeted respectfully while I only rolled my eyes and didn't even dared  to look at the man I despise the most.

Nakita ko naman ang pag-awang ng labi ni Aira ng makita si Thanos. He's big and has well-built body then a handsome perfect face that can never be ignored. But I chose to ignored it all because of his arrogance that irritates me a fucking lot.

"Shit, bes! Ba't ang gwapo niya?" Pa bulong niyang sabi na ikinirap ko.

"You three should tale your seats already, the program's about to start." He said coldly as I felt his stares in my back.

We took our seats immediately. We were in front because Ianthe and I are both the topmost in our school academics today

The program started with a prayer, until it's my turn to have a speech for everyone. Ianthe just finished hers because she's our valedictorian for this year and I'm their salutatorian.
