Chapter 21.
We had arrived at Kings Cross Station. I had my bags with me, but Draco insisted on holding them to be more 'gentleman-like'.
"Ready to board platform 9 3/4?" I asked.
"I know something else that is 9 and 3/4--" Draco started.
"Yeah, my wand, you uncultured swine."
"I was going to say that," he said quickly.
"Sure, you were. I know what you were thinking. Don't be such a cute, self-centered, narcissistic jerk," I said.
"But I'm cute, though." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Idiot." I smiled, shaking my head.
"But I'm your idiot, if it makes you feel better, of course."
"Sure, I'm dating an idiot. That sounds fantastic," I said sarcastically.
"Just get on the platform already, you two," Narcissa said.
I had totally forgotten that she was here with us. Oops, I guess she knows now.
We got onto the platform with Narcissa.
"Draco, stop being so . . . immature. Have fun at school. I will see you at the end of the year because your father and I are busy in the holidays. See you, have fun," Narcissa said.
Draco and I boarded the train and found a compartment to ourselves. I soon saw Hermione, Fred, and George walk straight towards us. Fred opened the door.
"Coming, Sav?" he asked.
"Sorry, no," I said.
"It's fine, you can go, Sav. I have to go find Blaise and tell him."
Before Draco and I left we agreed that he could tell Blaise as long as I could tell Hermione, Fred, George, and Ron. Hermione would keep my secret for sure, and so would Ron, if he didn't want to be hexed into oblivion. Fred and George would never tell anyone. I would trust them with my life.
"Okay." I got up and walked into my friends' compartment. Immediately Hermione pulled me to the side while everyone else went inside.
"Sav, is there something you wanted to tell me?" she asked curiously.
"Um, well, yes, but I want to tell Ron, Fred, and George as well. But it is imperative that Harry doesn't find out. Speaking of which, where are Harry and Ron?" I asked.
"I don't know, we can't find them on the train. Come tell us and then you can tell Ron later. None of us will tell, we promise," Hermione said.
I sat next to George and Fred sat next to Hermione.
"Sav has something she would like to share with us," Hermione started.
"Um, thanks, 'Mione. Well, I know none of you particularly like him, but I do--a lot, and, well, you know how we, um, kissed in Flourish and Blotts, well, he did kiss me, but I, um, kissed back, and we kinda got into a little argument and then we started talking, and, well, he and I are together. But Harry cannot find out. I will be dead if he finds out," I explained quietly.
"We won't tell, we promise," the twins said in unison.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I gave each of them a hug. "You guys ar the best!"
"We know, but, Sav, if he hurts you in any way, George and I will sort him out," Fred grinned evilly.
"You know, you two would have a fair chance in Slytherin. You certainly scare me sometimes with all your pranks," I said honestly.
"I didn't think that Sav could get scared," George said.
"Believe me, I didn't think I could get scared either--until the end of last year. Since then, Harry and I have had non-stop nightmares. The first time I didn't get a nightmare was the first night at Draco's house," I said, then realised that they don't know about me sleeping in the same room as him, or sleeping in the same bed with him.
"Sav, is there something else you would like to tell us? Why didn't you get a nightmare at his house?" Hermione asked.
"Um. . . . Please don't freak out. Nothing happened. Because, well, I did have a nightmare, but Draco woke me up to make sure I was okay. And, well, I just broke down in tears and so Draco sat on my bed and gave me a hug, and, eventually, I fell asleep in his arms. Then the rest of the holiday we slept together, but it was just sleeping," I explained. "You're not going to tell Harry, are you?"
"No, remember, we said we won't tell him," Hermione comforted me.
"If Harry finds out, he is going to kill me. When we were at my uncle's house and we had the nightmares, Harry would ignore the fact that it always seemed to hit me worse than it did to him. But he wasn't there for me," I said sadly.
"Than I'm glad Malfoy helped you," Fred said.
"Thanks, you guys are the best friends I could ever have. Do you think Ron will tell Harry?" I questioned.
"No, he won't. Ron is many things, but he is not a trust-breaker," George said.
"Okay, Hermione, do you think you could tell him for me?" I asked.
"Of course, Sav!" she said.
We spent the rest of the train ride talking until we got to Hogwarts.
When we arrived at Hogwarts, we went into the Great Hall, as required. There was still no sign of Harry or Ron. Where the devil were they?
