Chapter 39.

~A month later~ Rita Skeeter was doing some stupid article on all of the Triwizard Champions. She needed us to tell her everything about ourselves so she could twist it into something totally different. For example, Harry was said to have eyes that show the ghosts of his past. What a load of shit.

Anyway, all us champions were in this tent waiting for Dumbledore and the Minister. Hermione and Draco had just left us with them.

"You have to collect the egg from the dragon before it kills you. You will each have your own dragon. Now, to pick these dragons, we have a mini replica of each. You will pull out a dragon and that is the dragon you are to fight," the Minister explained.

Fleur went first and picked out the Welsh Green. Viktor got the Chinese Fireball, Cedric got the Short-Snout, Harry got the Hungarian Horntail, and I got the most dangerous one of all, the one I was hoping not to get: The Ukrainian Ironbelly. I was possibly screwed.

Everyone had gone and now it was just Harry and I. Harry was going before me, so I would be last. Harry went out when the cannon fired.

Harry got chased all over school by the dragon he was fighting, but managed to get the egg in the end. I was up next. I was so nervous that my breath hitched.

How I would trade places with anyone just to be away from all this.

The cannon sounded and I went out. The only thing we were allowed was our wands. Since I didn't have a plan, I decided to run straight for the egg. Suddenly, the dragon swooped down and blew flames right by my head. I quickly swerved and moved away, I wasn't fast enough and I felt the side of my face burn a little bit. To make sure I wouldn't die, I quickly said, "Aguamenti," and made the cool water sooth my face.

How should I defeat the dragon? Think, Savannah, think!

"Stupefy!" the dragon fell back and I continued running.

I ran forwards and nearly got to the egg when the dragon reached out and made a deep gash in my left arm.

"You are going to pay for that, you stupid dragon! Confundo! Stupefy! Impedimenta! Petrificus Totalus!" I screamed.

I wasn't going to actually hurt the dragon, that would be cruel. The dragon just became very confused and it slowed down from the third spell I shot at it. Then I paralyzed it, harmless, but powerful. And it worked. The dragon dropped to the ground while I raced to get the egg. I reached the egg and grabbed it. The crowd erupted in cheers. I quickly left the stadium thing and went to find Draco.

"Sav! Are you okay? I was so worried! I should have done something, I am so sor--" I cut him off by running into his arms and putting a kiss on his lips. Our lips moved together in sync.

"Sav, you're okay! Um, okay?" Ron said, coming up behind me.

I turned around and jumped into his arms. "Whoever created this tournament is freaking mental. I could have died! Can someone fix my arm, please? It's starting to really throb." Draco lifted me up and carried me bridal style to Madame Pomfrey, who was in the tent that the champions were in before we went out to fight the dragons.

"Madame Pomfrey. Sav is really hurt. She has a gash in her arm and the right side of her face has a burn. She is also quite bruised," he said, putting me down on a chair.

Ron was still with us, and I hadn't noticed until now, but Hermione had too.

"Where's Harry?" I asked.

"He is with Cedric," Hermione answered.

"Can you get him for me?" I asked.

"Sure." Hermione ran off to find Harry.

"Are you okay, Sav? You never answered my question," Draco said, concerned.

"I'm fine, now that I am with you." He smiled and kissed my forehead.

Ron came over and sat next to me. I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"Why are you leaning your head on his shoulder? I was here to help first," Draco said bitterly.

"Because, Draco, you might not have noticed, but that side of my face is burned, so I thought it would be better to lean my head on the other side. Plus, there is no need to be so jealous. Ron is just a friend. He is more like a brother to me, in fact, not a friend. He is a brother. I don't ever want to date my brother," I reassured Draco.

"Right, sorry."

"It's fine, good to know you care."

"How could I not care? You are my world!" I gave him a kiss.

"Honestly, Draco. You are the best thing that has happened to me. I love you so much!"

He leaned in and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he brought his around my waist. My fingers found their way into his hair.

"Excuse me while I go puke." Ron rushed out of the tent.

"Excuse me, but it seems, Savannah, your arm is fine," Madame Pomfrey said.

I pulled away from Draco and untangled my fingers from his hair. "Do you want a deep gash in your arm? Because the dragons are still outside waiting. Then you can tell me whether my arm is fine or not!" I snapped.

"Well, let's see your arm, then." I showed her my arm and she inspected it.

She took out a vial of something from her bag and put a few drops on my arm. It burned for a little while before the wound started to heal. "It might leave a scar. As for your burns, I have noticed you have some on your arms and legs. You will need to apply a cream to them every night. This cream needs to be applied until there is no cream left," she instructed.

"Thank you, Madame Pomfrey." Draco and I left and went to the common room.

I still hadn't seen Harry, but he didn't come to me, so I would see him when I see him.

"Whoooo!!" everyone cheered as I entered the common room.

"You were amazing, Savannah!" Blaise said, coming over to me.

"Thanks. Can someone hold this for me?" I said, handing the golden dragon egg to Draco. "I'm going to go get changed. I need to get out of these gross pieces of what only few would call clothing."

It was true, the clothing was in so many shreds you could see a lot of my skin. To be honest, I was surprised that Draco and Ron didn't say anything about it.
